On December 19, 2025, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a concert at the Finnish Church in Gamla Stan, which is celebrating its 300th anniversary this year. Finnish musicians based in Stockholm performed music by composers such as Jean Sibelius and Johan Helmich Roman. The soloists were soprano Emma Kajander and violinist Cecilia Zilliacus.
The Finnish Church (Finska kyrkan) is a church building in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. It belongs to the Stockholm Finnish Parish of the Church of Sweden and was opened in 1725 after the King’s former Ball House (Kungens bollhus) was converted into a church.

What a nice occasion. Wish I could be there, it's a very beautiful church. Queen Silvia has a lovely silk scarf.
ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia always looks serene.
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly! She appears to move about her duties with great peace. It’s quite a quality for a queen! I think her husband made an outstanding choice in marrying her!
DeleteLovely scarf to finish her look, and seems to pick up the colour of the kings tie
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup Silvia quand elle porte ces tons de magenta, ça lui va à la perfection. Paloma.
