On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden inaugurated the light art installation 21.09 at the Royal Palace. Created by Les Ateliers BK, the work forms part of Nobel Week Lights. Named after the date of the International Day of Peace (September 21), 21.09 is dedicated to the universal theme of peace.
Conceived as a visual and sonic fresco, the installation illuminates the complexity of peace as an ongoing process, emphasising that peace is always more difficult to build than war. The artwork reflects on the need for dialogue in order to create peace and is accompanied by audio featuring quotes from several Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
