Expensive clothes look good on gorgeous women with gorgeous silhouettes.
      This is the case.
Potato sacks look good on gorgeous women as well.
What category do you belong to?
      Nastiness gets nowhere.

    3. I am a bit with you there 21:20, and don’t find your comment snarky. I find the houndstooth outfit much too much too much. If she’s just worn a part of it with white blouse and black pants it would have been smashing. As for Zara, blue is a great colour for her and Karen Millen is a nice and not too pricey brand, but I don’t think the hat is best shape for her. Would love to see that mini dress she has on under the coat!

    4. @21:20 fair comment and frequently true in fashion. Not sure why others say this is nasty.

  2. Lovely colour coat. I noticed she has fringes in her boots, similar to her moms only in black

    5. My reaction exactly, the outfit the lady in brown is wearing is stunning, would not change anything about it, pure elegance and classic perfection, Rem

  4. What a beautiful coat and hat on Zara, her perfect color. However I don’t feel the navy turtleneck complements the coat.

  7. Lovely shade of blue. Both coat and hat look great. Less sure about the somewhat bizarre outfit of her companion

  8. The lady in brown, a little overdone don’t you think? Embellishments everywhere but good for her trying to be different.

  9. Oh wow! The lady in brown, so ultime British and classy. I also like Zara's outfit and color.
I keep on dreaming that they, she is and hubby, will jump into working royals to support the crown and alivate Princess Anne's agenda.

  11. I prefer Zara's coat. Beautiful cut and color. The other lady's outfit is a mix of checks and metal buttons and chains. The headband does not go well together with the rest of the outfit.

    1. As a well-known and successful designer, I am sure she will take your opinions to heart.

There is so little room for anything that is not cookie cutter design on this blog. It is a pity that we all don't have the attitude that fashion is a form of art and we could learn more about it instead of being closed off to anything remotely different.

    2. @Anon 14:56 Well said and very true.
There are many of us who don't think the same as Anon 07:35 though she is perfectly entitled to her opinion.

    3. Yes I agree with you 7:35. As for your comment 14:56, it’s lovely if you enjoy this outfit! That’s great - but doesn’t mean you should therefore diss others’ opinions. Room for all here, remaining kind.

Paloma.

  14. Zara always brings her A-game to Cheltenham when it comes to style. The hat, gloves and boots are so chic, and the over-the-knee boots add just a hint of drama. Head to toe, a debonair look.
I found video footage of Jade Cooper's outfit online; and it is really very beautiful with the brown boots and handbag; however for my taste, the white shirt, navy tie, sapphire and diamond earrings plus gold tie-pin seem unrelated colourwise and texturewise to the overall concept -- as if they came from another outfit. 15. I like Zara’s coat and hat. I do not think the combination of the short skirt and the boots that go over the knee looks very classy, though.

  16. I wonder where one can still find over-the-knee boots. In the shoe collections in Belgium there are different styles of boots, but not over-the-knee. Princess Claire wore this type of boots in red at the Te Deum on King's Day but they were not new. She has them in red, brown, etc...

    2. Mathilde's over-the-knee suede boot collection at one point beat that of any other royal. When skirt hems were sitting just above the knee, I think she had nearly 10 pairs, all in different colours. with her long legs, she looked fabulous. Nowadays, skirts are much longer, so such boots aren't seen much these days. But I do miss them! Lyra

    3. You are right Lyra. With hems being lower, the footwear has changed, or should change. Zara has given us hope that we will see some more of these fabulous boots paired with shorter hems.

  17. Love the teal coat. I am not a fan of mini skirts with boots. Obviously as the brand ambassador she is given items to wear.

  18. Nice outfits for both ladies. Like the coat and the teal color of it a lot. The other lady with her outfit looks good but for me too many pieces of it, of the same plaid. The important thing is she like it that is the only thing that matters.

Lovely coat and hat, nice boots and then a mini skirt that gives off vibes of being a street walker, looking like she's just too pleased with herself. Not very appropriate for any lady - royal or not. The lady in the brown looks fabulous.

    1. Wow! You actually went there...She is in style for Fall/Winter 2025. Your opinion is calling many trendy women streetwalkers. It is alright not to like a style, or to like it knowing you couldn't or wouldn't ever wear it yourself. I have never seen Zara dressed in a disgusting way. I don't love everything she wears, but she is more in style than some of the other royal women, most likely due to the fact that she has more freedom without a title. Did you ever think Catherine was a streetwalker? She wore many short dresses early on, and with pumps, showing more leg than can be seen when wearing boots.
There are many articles from this fall's fashion magazines that discuss how to wear boots this season. I'm sure you could Google a few and see that she is on trend, not a streetwalker.

  20. I love this look from Zara. The teal colors are perfect on her. Good to see her wear high street brands. Karen Millen has some lovely pieces and has certainly evolved from its early days. They’re described as aspirational premium high street brands. That can be believed.

  22. Zara looks fine, coat pulls a bit so she could use a size up. Good colour (assuming she didn’t pay for it, she has two other coats strikingly similar to this one).

Jade is way overdone with all her gold chains, buttons etc. gets me dizzy trying to figure out what she wears. Looks like she dumped everything she could find at hand on her chest. Kills the classic outfit she wore, no extra bling was needed. But then she possibly doesn’t want to be classy. Just shiny.
