On November 24, 2025, Queen Rania of Jordan attended the inaugural Franca Fund Gala at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. The event was organized by Qatar’s hub for innovation, M7, and the Franca Sozzani Fund for Preventive Genomics, in support of medical research. Queen Rania was received by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chair of Qatar Museums and Co-Chair of Fashion Trust Arabia.
Co-hosted by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Franca Fund founder Francesco Carrozzini, and Vogue Global Editorial Director Anna Wintour, the gala paid tribute to the life and legacy of the late Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani, who passed away from a rare cancer in 2016.
The Franca Fund is a research and advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the use of genomic data to help predict and prevent disease before symptoms arise, with a focus on underserved communities. Established in 2018, it aims to improve access to cutting-edge personalized medical treatments for a range of health concerns.

This is a beautiful outfit with definite ethnic style influences most appropriate to the location of the event. The satin gives it richness, and I love the colour combination of ice blue and copper. Rania is the perfect person to wear something like this.
ReplyDeleteHer excellency the Sheikha also looks very elegant in her traditional green and gold silk Thawb.

Forever 21! Queen Rania is a fairtale, very beautiful! I like the design and flow on the skirt
ReplyDeleteWho is the gentleman? He looks like christopher watts, shocker!
ReplyDeleteFirst impression: gala or not, seems to me quite a bit over the top and eccentric. Either the otherwise very nice, but not really "simple" top, or the otherwise very nice, but also not really "simple" skirt, but not both together, because they seem to compete for attention. Even if some of you will look for and find the colour of the top in the skirt - I did it too. But it does not make it better.
ReplyDeleteAn outfit worthy of a queen, love the colours. She always manages to showcase a mix of Arab and western style through design and fabrics. Love the skirt.
ReplyDeleteEpoustouflante Rania dans cette harmonie de couleurs ; ses cheveux légèrement raccourcis encadrent à ravir son visage !
ReplyDeleteLove the dark golden blouse.
ReplyDeleteWow — luscious fabrics, beautiful flowy lines, and attractively edgy color combination — but imo the wide dropped-waist embellishment detracts from the look. The pretty waistband by itself was enough. — Jane
ReplyDeleteOh, she looks marvellous.
