Queen Mary of Denmark is in Brazil to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), held in the city of Belém. On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Queen Mary, together with the First Lady of the State of Pará, Daniela Lima Barbalho, visited a cocoa production site on Ilha do Combu, located near Belém, the host city of COP30. During the visit, the Queen gained insight into the process of cocoa production.

Queen Mary will be officially received by the Governor of the State of Pará, Helder Barbalho, at Hangar — the Amazon Region’s Exhibition and Convention Center and the official venue for COP30. Following the reception, the Queen will visit the Danish Pavilion and attend events focused on energy and the circular economy.
