On November 5, 2025, Queen Camilla hosted members of the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) and representatives from the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) at Clarence House in London, in celebration of community volunteering during Meals on Wheels Week. The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) provides meals on wheels and lunch clubs across the UK, helping to deliver nutritious food and reduce loneliness.
The Royal Voluntary Service is a volunteer organization that enriches the lives of older people and their families across Britain. It supports people aged 60 and over. The RVS recently launched a digital platform, GoVol, designed to help people find flexible volunteering opportunities. Queen Camilla is Patron of the Royal Voluntary Service.

Winter in approaching.. and the boots are back!
ReplyDeleteHappens to us all. Love getting my boots out in the colder part of autumn and rarely wear shoes again until the snow goes. Logic for cold feet and they look great with dresses for Camilla.
DeleteThis stiff, operatic dress combined with these unbecoming boots makes queen Camilla look terribly stumpy.
ReplyDelete🌞 Virginia
I'm afraid I agree with you. The usual zip up dress . So many good options for women her age - look at the other royal /first ladies of her age. They pull it together better.
DeleteI like her boots, and don’t think they “make her” look anything other than neat and dressed?! I also think when we invite others into our home ( or on her case, one of her homes!) we are naturally dressed down a little, and a bit cosier is totally normal.
DeleteI don’t think she looks stumpy. I think it’s so clever of her to have adopted a uniform style she enjoys. Always neat and evidently always comfortable, letting her get on with the job.
DeleteAgree 100% with Anon 05:53 and Anon 13:38.
Delete- Anon 9:13
There is lots of potential for developement in the BRF.
DeleteCamilla is doing a great job ( in a charming dress!).
ReplyDeleteAgree with Anon 21:41 “Camilla is doing a great job” along with the association.
DeleteAgree with @Virginia “queen Camilla looks very stumpy”
Or did @Virginia mean “frumpy” ?
I would use the word “frumpy” to describe her look.
p.s. I wish we had an association like this where I live.
Princess Diana forever!
ReplyDeleteNot appropriate at all. Ellen
DeleteMean comment!
DeleteNo problem with the comment by 1:04. Two things can be true at once. This commenter can want to provoke reactions and we can choose to leave her and not give attention.
DeleteSignature look, appropriate to engage in this activity. She should wear less foundation makeup and use blush on her cheeks, and not be so heavy on her brows. She would look so nice
ReplyDeleteThe dress is beautiful; but the heels on the boots are too low and too chunky for the level of refinement of this dress. The suede would look fine if the heels were higher and tapered. Mathilde has a lot of dressy elegant suede boots of this sort. Lyra
ReplyDeleteI may be wrong, but I think she likes the boots for the comfort of flat heels. ☺️ We must live in different worlds. I think she must be allowed to look only for comfort from time to time; by the way, I don't see the dress as particularly refined.
Delete@ Lyra
DeleteQueen Mathilde has not A LOT of elegant suede boots.
1. She sometimes wears a pair of "this sort of suede boots".
2. When QM was younger she had these boots in different colors and wore them over her knees. It was fashion in those days and she wore her dresser shorter than now. The heels of her boots were higher and thinner.
3. During the last winters QM wore often booties with her pant suits.
4. You will see QM not often with boots and a dress.
5. When QM has a visit to do and she is wearing a skirt or a dress she never wears high boots during winter. She is brought by her chauffeur and in the car it is cosy and warm.
6. When she is hosting people inside the Castle of Laeken (their home), she never wears high boots but always shoes.
7. On the rare ocassions she is still wearing high boots they are made of leather not suede. She probably did not conserved all these old suede boots she wore over the knees. Maybe just a pair or two.
8. During her last visit to Armenia to walk in nature, she wore her Penelope Chilver boots, knee high and with flat heels. Her velvet trousers were tucked in the boots.
I love these boots of hers. Perfectly neat, work well with dresses and skirts, comfortable heel. Lower and chunkier are definitely appropriate for her age bracket and totally allowed!
DeleteThis was a wonderful visit. I don't normally like the zipper dresses, but this one is the exception, this Navy dress with the subtle white detailing, adding interest.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see this with her dressier beige suede boots with a heel.... I bet that would elevate the look considerably!
ReplyDeleteUn look trop sombre ; je verrais bien des bottes légèrement plus hautes dans une couleur gris clair ou même camel qu'elle possède !
ReplyDelete@ Lyra - heels like Mathilde, you do realise that Camilla is some 28 years older!
ReplyDeleteIt is my undertanding that QC rarely has the aide of a `dresser` which is why she has a number of dresses with a zip front, so much easier as we age.
I think she looks perfectly alright and at ease for the event.
Totally!
DeleteThank you Anon 12:26 for giving the information of your understanding that Camilla rarely has the aid of a ‘dresser’ which could expalin why she has a number of dresses with a zip front.
DeleteJust after she became Queen it was announced that she would have six “queen’s companions” which was simply changing the name from “ladies in waiting” Their roles and duties were reorganised to lighten their work and responsibilities.
I think the addition of a seventh queen’s companion for the role as a “dresser” needs to be considered.
Or, maybe Camilla could look at velcro or better still, 3M Dual Lock Fasteners.
Oh dear. We have the same age. Me with all my artrose pain, I am still quite capable of dressing myself. I do not need to wear those ugly dresses with zippers because they are so comfortable. What must all the other Royal ladies do who are even older than Camilla and are never seen in dresses with zippers ? Not to speak of boots which are not elegant at all. During last Summer I noticed that Camilla wore regularly new shoes with a bit higher heels. In case she doesn't know, there are also boots with a little heel, not higher than the heels on her summer shoes.
DeleteDear Deadeggs, I did mean mean stumpy. It is an unusual word I remembered and checked it in my Oxford dictionary. Your alternative FRUMPY is just as good of course. Glad you mentioned this, gets my brains working.
ReplyDelete🌞 Virginia
But the best dressed and styled Person ist the cook!!
ReplyDeleteWe all age differently. I still don’t think the zipper is a necessity due to mobility issues. Seems to me she could do much better than this anyway. Lately she had quite a misses. And honestly I wasn’t ever a fan of her “style”. She had some good showings, lately less so.
