حذفI'm sure the ornament on the hat is a regiment brooch of some type but it looks rather Halloweeny with the skull. The coat looks very military but I agree with Fitzhugh - getting Micheal Jackson vibes, for sure. The lines of the coat are beautiful, the piping outstanding but the shoulder epaulets could be better.

The boots are the best part of the outfit. I don't see that those military-like details are necessary and I don't like them at all. Not the collar, not the shoulders, the beret would be OK but with no feathers in this angle or considerably smaller ones. And no golden buttons, especially not to silvery shoulders. No. No, no.
ردحذفI have always being wondering why the British royal ladies had to wear these clothes semi military style ? I bed the military details on her coat doesn't appear on any military uniform of the British Armed forces.
ردحذفI never saw Queen Elizabeth in such clothes. I've seen pictures of her on her horse when she was a young queen in a real uniform. She had every right to wear it because she was the Commander in Chief of the British Armed forces. Camilla and Sophie although they are wearing uniforms or clothes which ressemble uniforms none of them did military training.
But they both nevertheless have been appointed in a military rank!
حذفIt is difficult for me to understand these honorary military titles to royals that haven't served. It seems disingenuous, but that is the tradition. An honorary title is one thing, but the cosplay clothing is another. I always think these honors should go to someone who has served in the military, not as a reward for the BRF.
حذف1:16 the honours are not rewards, they are support and tradition. It’s certainly not cosplay, and the patronage of the royals is highly appreciated in the British forces. This may be different from in your culture, but this is taken seriously and respectfully in the UK.
حذفI think there must be some military significance/meaning to the skull and crossbones pins on Camilla’s hat and coat, as well as the feathers. On anyone else, this outfit would look ridiculous, I think, but Camilla manages to pull it off - just barely.

The brooch belonged to Q Elizabeth and is the badge of her father`s regiment, the feathers are the regimental colours. Some rather `ignorant` comments

ردحذفI am glad I am not the only one any more who doesn't like the military looking clothes. I've said it years ago each time when around Armistice these clothes are taken out of the mot balls. They should better wear a simple black or navy coat with a normal dark hat and better looking boots in case she has quickly cold feet..

ردحذفI agree, she looks fantastic. I honestly don't understand the negative comments. The epaulets give more structure to her shoulder. The red accents in the collar and the hat are very flattering. Love her hair and the feathers on the hat, they finish it off. Maybe the boots can be improved but these look elegant and I presume they are very warm and comfortable. This is a fabulous look.
