On November 28, 2025, at the Grimaldi Forum, 316 first-grade students from the Principality took part in a Drowning Prevention Awareness Day event, held in the presence of Princess Charlene of Monaco. The foundation organizes local large-scale events every year for that day. For the occasion, Princess Charlene wore a wool and cashmere cape dress by Max Mara.

  1. Cette robe cape courte judicieusement ceinturée lui sied à merveille surtout dans cette couleur Bordeaux ; adorable la petite fille sur l’avant dernière photo !

  2. Normal sleeves would have been better for this event. The colour is beautiful.

    1. Could you explain why? I can't see that her movement is restricted.

    2. I agree 10:34. @13:54 I think it’s less about restriction (I see none) and more about the trompe d’oeuil effect of the cape sleeves thst trick the as to where the arm is resulting in some odd photos of her arm / proportions of her silhouette

    3. I think normal sleeves would have been better independently from the event. Why: On the model, the outfit seems to be worn as a mini-dress with cape and somehow it is a more unified look, dress+cape. This is not the case when this piece is worn like a sweater or pullover over a shirt and with trousers, as Charlene does.

  4. Always lovely with kids, but I don’t think the MaxMara cape is a winner. Nice colour though.

  5. Another stylish outfit for Charlene.
Hair styled nicely and makeup appropriately natural for the occasion.

  6. For me the Max Mara cape is a winner and Charlene looks incredible in it! Very good idea to wear the white shirt underneath. Inspirational!

Princess Charlene - you've done it again! This is perfection. Agree that the white shirt is a great idea - the crispness of the white makes the whole outfit pop! I would wear this happily. Gorgeous jeans.

  7. I like this outfit. It strikes all the right notes for the occasion and for the season. Looks both comfortable and elegant. I´m glad she wore trousers, because the cape-thing is too short to be a dress. As a top, it´s wonderful.

  8. I love her I this cape. She looks stunning

  9. Another pair of trouser jeans styled so beautifully with this cape. She really hits a nice balance of polished casual. I think her water safety campaign is ultimately going to be responsible for saving a few lives.

  10. I think the cape refashioned as a normal sweater with the white shirt and jeans would have looked better. The deepest arms aren’t flattering on Charlene or the model because they don’t follow the arms, so it ends up looking a bit like 4 arms, 2 which hang and 2 which move!.

  11. Elegancia casual, elevado al maximo exponente. Elegancia casual, elevado al maximo exponente. Y como siempre, lo que le distingue es el porte personal de quien lo lleva, en este caso, la Princesa Charlene.

  12. I want to like the outfit, because the pants, the colour of the sweat and the fit are great. But for me the white blouse ruins it, to stark and stiff, and not really a fan of the sleeves having that fabric hanging around.

    1. Agree 16:07! A normal cape with the white arms would be ok but with the section which looks like a top around her middle with a belt, it leaves the arms looking most strange and perhaps as two sets of arms; the white ones and the floppy red ones.

  14. Capes are awkward ... they should be kept where they belong: outdoor, over an another outfit, easy to put on for some warmth and to be removed when insie. Grown toghether as part of an outfit is, for me, always a kind of forced presence, without inherent sense or added beauty.

  16. This is a refreshing lovely outfit. Love her jeans and cape, combined with her white blouse. The cape is unusual, I like the addition of the belt. Her makeup looks natural, her hair looks good. This was a lovely visit, the children looked so happy.

  17. I love the cape with the white blouce. Wearing the white allows the cape to be seen rather than pale into the background if it had been worn as the model has worn it. I think I’d have worn a similarly colored trouser rather than jeans, but that’s just personal choice.
I will say HSH really does come to life when she’s with children. She really has found her niche in royal life.
