On the occasion of Monaco’s National Day 2025, the ceremony for the presentation of distinctions in the Order of Cultural Merit was held on Tuesday, 18 November, in the Blue Room of the Prince’s Palace, in the presence of Prince Albert II. Princess Stéphanie was elevated to the rank of Commander, receiving her medal from Princess Caroline of Hanover, surrounded by her children, Louis Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb.

Six other recipients were also honored this year.

  1. The contract between Caroline and Stephanie's styles is so clear; Caroline the glamorous princess and Stephanie the tomboy princess.

  2. Très joli modèle bleu marine qui lui va à merveille mais peut-être légèrement trop long !

  3. Lovely less-is-more dress of Caroline. And for once it's not a Chanel.

  4. The dress is beautiful in all areas. The neckline and waistband are very unique and I also like the feminine fabric and cuffs on the sleeves. It's just the length I don't like because it looks matronly. It would look better at just below the knee.

    1. Hi Sandra, to understand your comment fully, how are you using the adverb matronly (which can mean many things although all slightly negative)? Older woman, that which a matron would wear, old fashioned?

    2. I understand the matronly comment. I find dresses at this length aging. I think a longer pencil skirt with high heels is very pretty, but it is not the same with fuller skirts.

I used the term 'matronly' to denote a meaning of 'conservative' or less stylish and fashionable, unbecoming, unflattering. And yes, unfortunately I would have to agree it usually applies to an older, married woman.

  6. La robe de Caroline est superbe, dommage pour son maquillage ou pasde maquillage du tout. Elle a un visage terne , fade. Il manque quelque chose

  8. This is the nicest I have seen Princess Caroline in a long time. The ME+EM dress is lovely on her. Dare I say,far nicer than some of the Chanel items she’s worn.
Camille has a look of her maternal grandmother. I like the dress and the shoes, but for such an auspicious occasion she could have worn something a little longer.

    1. It doesn't like like a formal event, so a long gown would have been out of place.

  9. The dress is very feminine and flattering, perhaps a tad too long, a brooch would have given the outfit an extra touch.

  10. An elegant look for Caroline. I do wonder about the practice of a family presenting their own and already privileged family member with the Order of Cultural Merit !

  12. Princess Caroline looks exceptionally lovely in the polished and feminine navy blue maxi dress. Her hair style makes her look youthful as well as the light makeup colors. MR

  13. Princess Caroline looks splendid in this blue dress. I don't mind the length of the dress. I love the interesting cuffs of her sleeves. The neckline also I like, adding interest to this dress. The skirt of the dress, is flattering, has some movement, which I love, not straight up and down. The color of the dress is gorgeous. Her black shoes I like.
Camille's dress, reminds me of a shirt. I don't find this flattering. Princess Stephanie, I understand the style here, but I find the jacket a bit too long. The color of the outfit I love.

  14. I see everyone got the memo to wear navy. Princess Caroline looks lovely although the length of the dress would look more stylish a few inches shorter I think!

  15. I agree about the light make-up and hairstyle of Caroline.
I also like her blue dress very much. A pity it is too long. I do not like dresses which almost or do reach the ankles. I prefer midi dresses or just under the knees.
