Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands paid a visit to Bonaire and Sint Eustatius. On Sint Eustatius, Princess Beatrix visited the Reforestatia nursery, which forms part of the reforestation project of the Sint Eustatius National Parks Foundation (STENAPA). Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands was given a tour of the greenhouse, where young native plants and trees are cultivated to support biodiversity on the island and reduce erosion.
Afterwards, the Princess received a briefing on the protection of the Antillean iguana, an indigenous species that is critically endangered on the island and found only on the Windward Islands. During her visit, a STENAPA staff member released an Antillean iguana near the nursery in her presence.

I notice that too Missy. She often visits around now when Europe is at its greyest and getting near to its darkest. If you can afford it, a terrific morale booster to head to the sun!

ردحذفI am impressed with the Princess travelling such distance in her late years. I can’t think of my slightly younger mother being able to do so despite her relative good health & fitness. I hope Beatrix benefits from some heat and sunshine away from the European winter! She looks as well polished as usual and the blue suits her.
ردحذفShe’ll have business class unless first class is available and vip treatment at both airports, chauffeurs and assistants carrying luggage and attending to her needs. This all makes is much much much easier.
