On November 27, Princess Aiko attended a charity screening of the animated film Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise at Iino Hall in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. The film is based on the Battle of Peleliu on the island of Palau, one of the most intense battlegrounds of the Pacific War. Princess Aiko watched the film alongside voice actors Rikito Itagaki and Tomoya Nakamura.

Part of the proceeds from the screening will be donated to the Association for the Recovery of War Victims’ Remains and to the Japanese Red Cross Society, to support the collection of remains and humanitarian aid efforts in conflicts and disasters both in Japan and abroad.

  1. Lovely suit, nice to see her with young men her age. Somehow the shoes just look out of proportion with the clothes, can’t put my finger on it, perhaps a lower vamp would open up the foot.
