On Thursday, November 13, 2025, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited the Tokyo International Forum in Chiyoda Ward to attend a ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV). The Overseas Cooperation Volunteers program was established in 1965 under the name Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers.

Love this colour on the Empress. She looks wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteBourgogne, une couleur que j’affectionne particulièrement.

I've never noticed before that the Emperor colour-coordinates his tie! I looked up earlier appearances and yes, he definitely does. Masako's "little jacket over a dress" is pure perfection in its elegance and simplicity. I am happy to see this nice strong non-pastel colour on her. The hat is wonderful, her usual hat shape, but somehow different - maybe the rim a bit larger? or is it the strong colour that makes it different?
ReplyDeleteThe Empress looks very elegant. The suit is a bit more fitted than so many of her others and a great colour with matching shoes. Love her hat. I think the brim is a little bit wider and a step away from the usual bumper hats.
ReplyDeleteWow - stunning. I particularly like the Empress’ hat and make up. Bold and beautiful color too.
ReplyDeletewow! new colours on the empress! Even if the style remains the same, she make exciting every time with accessories and colour
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen E.Masako wearing this ruby red before, and she looks stunning. The pearls light up her neck against the deep colour and she positively glows. Best of all is the slight deviation of her traditional hat, which here seems to have a larger brim and deeper crown. Add the beautiful folds of the fabric around the crown, her delicate brooch, and of course, the Emperor's coordinating tie and the overall look is a winner.

I love this color on her. I especially like the wider brim on her hat. It's much more flattering than the other style she wore.
