Crown Princess Victoria Attends Vitterhetsakademien’s 50th Anniversary

On November 11, 2025, Crown Princess Victoria attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities (Vitterhetsakademien) as an independent academy. The Academy was founded by Queen Louisa Ulrika in 1753 and reorganized by King Gustav III in 1786, when it received its current name.

After nearly 200 years of collaboration with the Swedish National Heritage Board, the Academy became fully independent in 1975. The 50th anniversary of its independence was celebrated with a dinner attended by the Crown Princess and invited guests. For the occasion, Crown Princess Victoria wore a taffeta maxi skirt from byTiMo.

  1. Love the skirt pattern and shape, and it looks great with the top and shoes. It must have been a warm night to wear short sleeves in mid-November in Sweden!

  2. Gosh what a lovely skirt, it fits her so well. Now the model, this is a good example of how the long hair trend with mermaid waves draws the eye away from the garment and face , the hair becomes the focal point.
