King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain’s daughter, Crown Princess Leonor, turned 20 on October 31, 2025. Leonor is the heir to the Spanish throne. She was formally proclaimed heir before the Cortes on October 31, 2023, her 18th birthday. Princess Leonor holds the title of Princess of Asturias, as well as the titles of Princess of Girona and Princess of Viana, Duchess of Montblanc, Countess of Cervera, and Lady of Balaguer.

Quel joli regard de Letizia sur sa fille : elle est fière d'elle. Paloma.

حذفVery well said, agree with you.
حذفAgreed. Very beautiful Princess - Happy Birthday!🎂🎈🎈🎉
حذفShe has a good sense of style and decorum, can hardly wait to see photos of her Air Force graduation uniform.
ردحذفWe never saw pictures of her training as a pilot or other pictures of her in the Air Force. When she was doing training on the sailship we saw almost every week pictures of her. Now she is often at home to be present for all kind of ceremonies. Also her sister Sofia is home for the same ceremonies. Do they have so much vacations during their studies ?
حذفAnon 1925, she is on a a course specifically designed for her so she can still be available for her royal duties, it is not a vacation, she still has to attend classes. Her studies and workload are very intensive and expectations are high for her to achieve excellence. She wore her airforce uniform for one of these royal occasions recently.
حذفAnon 19.25, Interesting take, but it’s not really surprising that royal families keep some parts of their lives private, especially when it comes to military training. The public doesn't need to see every step of their education. The sailship photos were likely just more photo-op friendly, and I’d imagine her military training involves a lot of serious work, not so much ”photo-friendly” moments. As for the ”vacations”, I’m pretty sure their schedules are packed with duties beyond the ceremonies we see, but yeah, I get it, the lack of drama doesn’t always make for the most interesting headlines!
حذفIn other countries the CP doesn't have so many titles simply because they don't exist or they are not used anymore.
ردحذفAlways on the run.
ردحذفGosh I hadn’t realised she was so young… I thought she was more similar to Amelia . What a lot she has achieved already with her military service; LRB
ردحذفCP Amalia of The Netherlands is 21 years old.
حذفLeonor and Elisabeth of Belgium have really put in the work, Amelia needs to step up.
حذف@Anon 04:59: before you post full-mouthed that A. needs to "step up" , it can be useful to refresh, no, even better: establish a minimum knowledge of what you are talking about. What do you think, why do Leonor and Elisabeth absolve military training? Could it be that it has something to do with their future functions?
حذفElisabeth did not need to do military training, it was her choice just like King Willem of Netherlands made a choice to do air force training. Not necessary training but makes the crown prince/ss worthy of the throne.
حذفAnonymous2/11/25 04:59 The Dutch crown princess is named Amalia and not Amelia.
حذفAmelia goes to university and has achieved high marks. She will not be the head of the military in her country so does not have to take military training. Perhaps her specialty will be in commerce like her mother along with international relations and political science.
حذفCP Leonor of Spain is doing the last part (I think) of her military training. She had to do the full military training : army - navy - air-force, just like her father did when he was crown prince. In Spain the king (or queen) is the commander in chief of the military forces.
حذفCP Elisabeth did Royal Military Academy in about one and a half-year.
Then she went to Oxford University in the U.K. During summer holidays she returned to Belgium to do the summer camp with her fellow students of the Military Academy instead of taking holidays. She did that during 2 years. After her bachelor degree from Oxford univeristy she went to Harvard University (U.S.). CP Elisabeth had to do the Royal Military Academy because her father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc... all did it and because in Belgium the king (or queen) is commander in chief of the military forces. In the meantime CP Elisabeth will finish her master degree from Harvard University in June 2025.
As for The Netherlands the king (or queen) is not commander in chief of the military forces. King Willem-Alexander (then Prince) did military service like any other Dutchman. Technically CP Amalia must not do military training although she said she would do it. I think she started already, but she has not finished at the University of Amsterdam either. I think for the moment she is doing a combination of both.
@ 10:29 I do not understand what you mean with "Leonor and Elisabeth absolve from military training". Excuse me my English is probably not as good as yours, but "absolve" means the contrary of what both princesses have been doing.
@ 11:56
حذفAs CP Elisabeth of Belgium when she will be queen, will be the commander in chief of the Belgian defense forces it is normal that she has been doing military training at the Belgian Military Academy (equivalent of university education).
I do not see what she has in common with King Willem Alexander of The Netherlands who is not commander in chief of the Dutch defense forces. He did his military service like any other man.
Beautiful young women. A very happy 20st birthday to the Pss of Asturias.
