On November 6, 2025, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the gala evening of the Antwerp Support Council of the King Baudouin Foundation, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. The event was organized in support of several projects of the King Baudouin Foundation.
The evening began with an academic session during which a number of projects were presented. This was followed by a concerto for the King, composed and performed by Jef Neve. The King and Queen also met with representatives of the various projects. The King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) is a Brussels-based foundation.

Queen Mathilde wore a black gala dress by Armani. It is a rewear and the dress is from an older collection of Armani. The dress itself is very simple the only ornament is the big bow with crystals. The black clutch she is wearing is also by Armani and there are also crystals attached on it. She is wearing black shoes and her wedding earrings.
ردحذفI see that also King Philipp is wearing a new jacket made of a black velvet fabric. It looks a very appropriate jacket to assist at this Gala evening.

From other royal ladies' clothes the brands, designers, etc.... are always mentioned. From Queen Mathilde it is not. It is simple though one can can find everything on the internet by using Google.

حذفThe bow is the only fantasy on this dress. If you take it away there is only a simple black dress left. Besides on an Armani dress one doesn't change anything.

ردحذفRe the lady in the white dress, I’ve rarely seen dress + short booties in Europe. Long boots to the knees plus dress is very common in winter because it really works for the cold and is stylish. But shorter boots I’ve seen more commonly in Texas where summer dresses are paired with cowboy boots of all possible things! Maybe this lady in white is from Texas?! She looks cute but I too prefer shoes or long boots.

حذفAbout 15 - 20 years ago, women all over Europe wore booties with skirts and dresses. It was fashionable then but it didn't last a long time. I wore them with a dress with a length around the knees. It was also fashionable to wear them with tights in one of the colours appearing in the dress.

حذف2 - 3 years ago everybody on this blog suggested she had her hair grow longer. Now that it is longer she should wear it shorter again ?
حذفBest is to let Queen Mathilde do what she pleases. Her hair is long enough now to do updo's. Sometimes with a little help of an hair piece, which is not necessary with the way it is styled here, I think.
Anyway whether she is leaving her hair loose or in an updo, it is always looking good (if there is not too much wind). But that is not her fault.
I love this black gown. The Queen looks stunning. The gown fits well, the embellishments are not overdone, adding interest. Love her black accessories. Her up do is very becoming, suits her beautifully.
