The Duchess of Gloucester Attends the RBR's 60th Anniversary

The Duchess of Gloucester visited Bermuda to attend the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Bermuda Regiment (RBR), where she serves as Colonel-in-Chief. Bermuda is a self-governing British Overseas Territory in the western North Atlantic Ocean. It consists of seven main islands and about 170 smaller islets. Upon her arrival, the Duchess was welcomed by Governor Andrew Murdoch and other government officials.

The Duchess of Gloucester, accompanied by Governor Andrew Murdoch, visited and learned about the many programmes at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS), a division of Arizona State University. The Duchess then visited Hope Academy. Afterwards, she visited the National Museum of Bermuda (NMB), a non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation.

As Colonel-in-Chief, the Duchess of Gloucester took part in the Trooping of the Colours to commemorate the Royal Bermuda Regiment's 60th anniversary and presented service medals to soldiers. While in Bermuda, the Duchess will also take part in several engagements highlighting Bermuda’s rich heritage, and commitment to environmental stewardship.

  1. What an elegant lady! White is definitely her color, her jackets are the perfect size for her figure. I also like the casual outfit she wore when she arrived at the airport.
    But what I appreciate most is her dignity, loyalty and quiet work. That is what is noticeably lacking in the duchesses a generation younger (although I also belong to the younger generation).

    1. Yes. HRH Brigitte, Duchess of Gloucester, is the wife of HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester. He is a son of HRH Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, son of HM King George V.

    The Duchess always reflects such radiance, poise and elegance in her style and everything she wears. I love her use of white pieces for island wear. Particularly the double breasted jacket. Stunning!!
