On October 9, 2025, Queen Silvia took part in a roundtable discussion at the University of Gothenburg and visited the emergency school Elevator. Among the speakers at the roundtable were Minister Camilla Waltersson Grönvall, Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin, researchers, and representatives from international organizations such as WHO, UNICEF, and UNHCR, as well as regional and local stakeholders.
In celebration of Queen Silvia’s 80th birthday, the University of Gothenburg has established “The Queen Silvia Professorship in Global Child and Adolescent Health.” Professor Anja Huizink from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam has been appointed to the position. Her research focuses on two critical periods in a person’s life — pregnancy and the time shortly after birth, and adolescence.

DeleteShe looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteSmart and stylish. Queen Silvia is just great
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice color combination, I love the flat two tone shoes. Her silk blouse is pretty and feminine.
ReplyDeletei always admire her hair, it always looks full of volume, if its enhanced, its done so well
ReplyDeleteLeave newest fashion aside and look wonderful anyway is a preference of older royal ladies - and it offers them the privilege to look terrific anyway because they can choose from a broader offer to wear what is best for them. Queen Silvia is one of the best examples for that. the fact that she kept her nice figure helps of course. The jacket is something like an evergreen and its muted colours look terrific with the white blouse. - Personally, with foot problems (or in older age or if not wanting to wear high heels) I like flats better than kitten heels.
