On October 29, 2025, Queen Máxima received the members of the International Advisory Board of the Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN) for a meeting at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague. GFTN works at international level for efficient, resilient and inclusive financial systems. In her role as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, Queen Máxima has chaired the advisory board since July 1, 2025.

Now that I see another crumpled shirt collar under a suit jacket, my allergy against untidy necklines is in full bloom once again. Why, oh why, you loveliest of all lovely queens.
ردحذفCollars under suits look great in general. She may have been moving around quite a bit with her big generous arm gestures and the jacket has pulled the collar down a bit. That’s ok. Some people put the collar outside the jacket collar which holds it more robustly in place though others have told me it’s “wrong” to do it. Either way, I like the look of a collared shirt with a collared jacket and totally understand when it gets a bit pulled around.
حذفI'm not shaken up about the collar either. It is not always necessary to use every button on a shirt and sometimes would look worse completely buttoned than when left open.

We criticise women for the slightest unorderliness in any other respect - but their "shop-window", the neckline directly under their faces, can look dishevelled because we move around - well, I don't get it. It is very simple: Tops are ideal for jackets, shirts are not.

Lovely smile, neat hair, lovely color...but this suit makes Queen Maxima look about 50 pounds heavier than she is. Not a great look as far as the cut and style are concerned.

حذفThe pant suit is a rewear. Queen Maxima lost weight when she and 2 of her daughters followed a diet earlier this year. I think the suit was already a bit too wide when it was new. Now it looks like it is at least one size too big.

ردحذفThis suit would look much better with the jacket buttoned up. She has no shape with it open. I have no problem with wide legged pants, but without a structured or form fitting top, the entire look is overwhelming her. The color is nice and the pants are hemmed to the correct length.

Not Dries van Nooten’s fault ( he can do nothing wrong in my eyes). Indeed the colour is quite good.
It must be one of those days..... and we all agree I think. Maxima looks like she got dressed in a rush in a dark closet with no mirror. Love her but she's looked better.
ردحذفIt certainly does appear as if the dressing room lightbulb was out again, must have been why she couldnt find the hairbrush, but did manage to pull the hair back, which helped a bit.
حذفI do not think they still use lightbulbs in the castles in The Netherlands. The premises which are used by the Dutch royal family are well looked after. You can be sure that all modern facilities like the "hue" program for lightning by Dutch company "Philips" is applied.
