On October 14, 2025, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a working visit to the municipality of Oss. The municipality has over 95,000 residents and consists of the city itself and 23 surrounding villages. During the visit, the focus was on maintaining and strengthening community spirit, supporting citizen-led initiatives to enhance social connections, and exploring opportunities to preserve community meeting spaces.
The visit to Oss began at the De Ruwaard Health Center. The newly constructed building was opened for use at the end of September. Next, Queen Máxima visited Community Center De Haard, where she attended various activities. De Haard is a place created by, for, and with the neighborhood — a hub where residents can meet, where organizations and individuals are connected, and where several associations have their base.
Following this, Queen Máxima visited Urban Ox Park in Sibeliuspark, an initiative by a group of young residents of Oss and local entrepreneurs. Urban Ox Park includes a calisthenics area, a pump track, and a skate park. The visit to Oss concluded at the Frans Heesen Stadium with the Community Champions project of the TOP Oss Foundation.
