On October 21, 2025, Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the Friends of the Museum dinner at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. The Friends of the Museum aims to promote and support the Museum’s activities by helping organize exhibitions and acquire new artworks. This year, the association is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Organized in parallel with the launch of Art Basel, the evening brought together numerous national and international figures from the art world, including artists, curators, and art patrons. The goal of the event was to raise funds to acquire a new artwork for the Museum. For the occasion, the Princess wore a short-sleeved embroidered dress by Dries Van Noten.

I wish the dress would elevate her more, unfortunately she looks dated. I do like seeing her smile more and be more engaging
ردحذفShe’s almost 70 Fitzhugh and that gives her every right to look “dated” or anything else! Think … she’s lived through 70 years of changing fashion, … it’s ok to collect your favourites along the way … and, by that age, let’s all wear what brings us joy and not care at all whether others think we are “elevated”!

حذفHmmm. The skirt is great, but not loving the overall look. Perhaps a 3/4 sleeve or sleeveless woild be better, or is it the shoes that seem to conflict with the pattern. A nice pump would leave the foot open. Her hair is very nice .

ردحذفThe dress is unique and the skirt portion is so brilliant and eye catching that it was wise of the designer to use a plain black fabric for the top. I really like the design and Caroline looks great. She has such a pretty face. The gold accessories and black shoes are perfect for this outfit.

ردحذفElegant Princess. She looks great in this dress. My only quibble are the shoes. I prefer plain court pumps to pumps with straps . Straps tend to cut off the foot and look less attractive. Plenty of shoes styles available without straps. Even the cute black suedes with small buckle that Princess Charlene wore works well.
ردحذفI have never understood the dislike of shoes with straps ... they don't cut the foot off, the foot stays where it is :-) - I mean, if linear elements would cut off anything, then e.g. necklaces would cut off the neck and bracelets would shorten/cut off the arms ... but they don't. No foot looks shorter just because there is a plus decorative element there in form of a strap? Or two. Really, I struggle to understand. Dislike is fully OK, but why explain it with "cut off"?
