On October 3, 2025, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, and Princess Amalia of the Netherlands attended the ‘Trounwiessel’ in Luxembourg, the solemn accession of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume to the throne. In the evening, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie hosted a gala dinner at the Grand Ducal Palace to mark the accession. King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, and Princess Amalia were also in attendance.
At the Trounwiessel ceremony, Queen Máxima wore a green midi dress by Claes Iversen, while Princess Amalia wore a cranberry satin crepe midi dress by Alex Perry, paired with a wool and cashmere-blend cape by Valentino. At the gala dinner, Queen Máxima wore a blue gown from Natan Couture’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, while Princess Amalia appeared in an off-shoulder embroidered ball gown by Monique Lhuillier.
At the gala dinner, Queen Máxima accessorized with the Dutch Sapphire Tiara, Sapphire and Diamond Earrings, Queen Wilhelmina’s Sapphire Bow Brooch, and the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau. Princess Amalia wore Queen Emma’s Diamond Tiara, the Dutch Emerald Pendant suspended from an Emerald Brooch, Queen Máxima’s Emerald Earrings, and, for the first time, the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau.
I love princess Amalia's daytime outfit and I am drooling over the shoes. Her evening dress is so regal and she looks just perfect with her hair up and the fab jewellery. Queen Maxima's daytime outfit is on the dull side colourwise but suits her very well. her evening dress is beautiful. Sometimes Natan is spot on

I for one really like the gown P.Amelia wore. It is reminiscent of the gown P. Isabella of Denmark wore for her 18th birthday. The emerald green a great colour for her. And it is age appropriate. She looks gorgeous and comfortable in the dress.Not everyone likes wear a tight form fitting gown unless you are extremely thin like Elisabeth and Catherine. Both queens for when fitting elegant dresses. GD Stephanie had lovely dress. Looking on different sites the dress looks better than seen here. I wonder if it was meant for her to wear the same dress for the ceremony and the gala dinner, and if so she made it look seamless. A very classy lady that takes it in stride. Overall it was a wonderful glimpse of a very important day.
ردحذفThis Natan design is as if created extra for Máxima's fabulous arms, may she keep them for many years to come! Hands down, Natan or not, this gown is a full success on her. Amalia is a statuesque beauty, both dresses are excellent in their simpleness.

حذفBeautiful, but an overabundance of jewelry, especially the enormous tiaras, which I find inappropriate for the guest, because that's the main focus, not M/A. I'm also not a fan of M's sleeveless dress, and A's gown is a bit old-fashioned, especially when she's walking next to the Crown Princess of Belgium, who is wearing a more youthful style. Anyway, they did their best, so whatever...

It is quite stunningly classic in the skirt - are you thinking classic rather than old fashioned? - and the top showing the bare shoulders is pretty modern. I read about the designer who is based in LA, and her tagline is “ sophisticated luxury by provoking femininity, allure and glamour “. I think it is stunning. I also agree with you that Elisabeth’s gown seems younger and therefore yes I preferred that look

حذفI think, although it was a very beautiful dress, CP Amalia is too young to wear a dress like this. Their rich collection of jewelry and tiara's comes always out on festive days like these. There is one thing I have to admire of the Dutch royal house that their collection of jewelry and tiara's is very well looked after. I know that some of their jewels has been transformed since the old days, but they don't look old. The jeweller who is responsable for the cleaning and conservation of these jewelry and tiara collection must be someone with a great dedication to his job. The Brits can learn something from them. I have sometimes the impression that the British tiara's and jewelry is looking much older and in a less good condition.

حذفThe photo of King, Queen and Crown Princess in their day outfits is really splendid. A very well coordinated set of outfits, and each individually splendid. I watched the livestream and when this King sat down to sign a book, he gave a big smile (which stood out against many other serious people). The three are looking very healthy and happy, the best fashion of all.
ردحذفPrincess Amalia has developed into a perfectly beautiful swan! I believe she is the most elegantly attired royal lady in the group. Part of her elegance is due to the regal way in which she carries herself, just a polite reserve - a bit like Princess Charlene . Her gown and everything about her is stunning!
ردحذفI thought Amalia looked magnificent in both her day and evening choices. The Alex Perry dress gorgeous color,but maybe a ting bit tight. But as long as she was comfortable and felt confident that’s what matters. Her evening gown had the ‘Wow’ factor. I looked up the designer and the dress price. It was an eye watering $13k. Were as Elisabeth Jenny Packham was $3.5k. I just found that a little excessive when there are plenty of choices at a more reasonable price. Yes,I appreciate that prices are relative,but for me,it took away the beauty of the dress.

The ladies, each in their own outfits, jewelry, tiaras looked lovely. However, I found it rather sad, that from watching coronations, weddings, other state occasions, the women/men from the other countries do not try and out-shine their host country on a very important day in the life of the host country. On this occasion, I would have thought Maxima and her daughter could have toned down the 'all-out-look' of their gowns, and tiaras. Yes I know they were pieces from a former Queen, but the overall effect, though lovely, outshone Stephanie, which should not have happened on her special day and that of her husband. My humble opinion.
