On September 29, 2025, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna. Upon her arrival, the Queen was welcomed by the Executive Director of UNODC, Ghada Waly. Together with Belgium’s Drugs Commissioner, Ine Van Wymersch, Queen Mathilde took part in discussions about the social impact of drugs, with particular attention to their effects on young people.
Afterwards, Queen Mathilde attended the official opening of the exhibition Michaelina Wautier, Painter at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, alongside the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, and Brigitte Van der Bellen. The museum houses the largest collection of works by the Belgian artist, who is recognized as one of the most remarkable figures of 17th-century painting. Queen Mathilde is wearing a butter-yellow two-piece outfit consisting of a midi skirt and a top, designed by the fashion house Natan.
hm, yes but not sure about the headband.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The outfit was great until she put the headband on.

Agree.

I prefer the headband to a hat.
DeleteShe could have worn a hat and gloves, but then she would have received bad comments too.
DeleteI like the headband. It gives the outfit a little more royal touch

ReplyDeleteChe bella regina, elegante in questo outfit color “burro” .
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely colour for the queen. Nice fit, nice shoes. The design suits her well. It seems Natan to me based on how the top is designed. Not keen on the outfit with the crinkle skirt on the lady in the last photo. It doesn’t look balanced, the boots seem abit heavy for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteI’m also guessing Natan based on the heavy material (which Mathilde often wears but I don’t think suits her nearly as well as light fabrics), and the most strange design of the top, which sags, doesn’t sit well and is in odd proportions to the skirt. The colour however is lovely for her and she nevertheless looks stunning. The crinkly outfit in the final photo is not something I can begin to describe.
DeleteChecked another site to learn it is indeed Natan couture. The shoes are also Natan.
DeleteSplendid! Mathilde looks fantastic in this beautiful outfit. The cut and length make her look long and lean, and the color is lovely on her. Very flattering and youthful, down to the matching headband!
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
Delete..on point. Yullia
DeleteWhat a lovely soft colour! Very becoming. The headband is the icing on the cake!
ReplyDeleteI'm in agreement about the color, very pretty. But the sleeves look sloppy and awkward on this otherwise flattering outfit.

So beautiful and fits so well.

So beautiful and fits so well.

This is a great look for Mathilde - the cut and colour of the outfit suit her well.
ReplyDeleteI do like the headband - wearing her hair a little ‘flatter’ to her head at the front really does take years off her. JJ
This would have to be one of the loveliest ensembles I have seen the Queen wear in a long time. The outfit is very becoming, the outline and style suits her beautifully. The color I love! its gorgeous. Her shoes and clutch are a wonderful color. The only thing I don't like is the headband!. Beautiful presentation she looks very elegant and stylish.
ReplyDeleteNever heard the same comment about the headbands worn by the Princess of Wales or Queen Mary of Denmark.
DeleteWell, basically I am rarely a fan of headbands ; I find often too voluminous.
DeleteContrary on what is described earlier the fabric of Queen Mathilde's dress is not heavy. It is made of light woolen crepe jersey. This butter color looks fantastic on the queen. The slightly assymetric top of the dress is fashion forward. The headband is made in the same fabric as the dress by Belgian haute couture hat maker Fabienne Delvigne. Her earrings are by Carolina Herrera and the leather clutch is by the Belgian brand Voort studios. Queen Mathilde looks fresh and youthful in this new outfit.
ReplyDeleteQuel magnifique look ; j’adore la couleur jusque dans le serre-tête !
ReplyDeleteI do like this monochromatic look on Q.Mathilde.
ReplyDeleteCuriously enough , that's a hit creation from Natan: fluid, airy material, nice swish and movement , a sophicated, trendy light
"buttermilk" hue.
If it to be a Natan number, this is the right route to go, well done.
Great visit, too.
I like the idea of a headband, even more when it completes or even elevates a simple monochrome outfit which is the case here. "The idea of": because I find them disproportionately large in most of the cases, here too. But to wear a headband, why not and what exactly is not to like? Personally, I even like alice bands :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely outfit. The color is flattering. The longer skirt elongates her. The curve waist structure gives it a flattering shape. Natan has been on a roll of late!
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Everything fits well together, also nice soft color.
