On Wednesday afternoon, September 10, 2025, Queen Máxima attended the celebration of her fifteenth anniversary as honorary chair of the platform Wijzer in geldzaken (Money Wise) at mboRijnland in Leiden. She received the first copy of ‘Expedition 18’ from the Minister of Finance, Eelco Heinen. ‘Expedition 18’ is a classroom game designed to prepare young people for financial responsibility as they reach adulthood.
As honorary chair of Wijzer in geldzaken, Queen Máxima advocates that financial education is most effective when it begins at an early age, expands gradually, and connects to major life events, such as getting married or buying a house. The platform brings together partners from the financial sector, academia, government, education, and consumer and public information organizations to prepare people for making financial choices.

ردحذفA small hat, something between a hat proper (which is not so good for an indoor meeting, her proper hats are huge and can be disturbing in a conversation) and a fascinator. It lends just a small touch of elegance to this outfit.

ردحذفI like the hat, blouse and skirt as individual items, just not together. I think the hat and blouse need a skirt in the same colour. To my eye, the pattern of the skirt with the blouse creates a "chopped in half" effect which looks unbalanced. I think the skirt -- which is gorgeous -- would look stunning with a silk blouse in a dark grey -- or any dark colour, such as maroon. Lyra
ردحذفWhat this outfit has to do with a bride I don't know. Except of being white this hat can be worn in any situation. At the few weddings in my neighborhood I saw during the last years, nobody wore such a hat nor the bride or her mother.
ردحذفI think the skirt is made of lace with a white lining underneath. It is too long and too narrow. The blouse has a sort of cape which does not make it more beautiful. I doubt about the (partly) white shoes : or her legs have a very deep tan or she is wearing panty hose which are too dark. I suggest the same hat in navy, and the shoes plain navy. She can keep the white handbag.

ردحذفIt's okay but I am not crazy about this combi esp not Natan's white shoes. But now about a detail. Máxima should get a real good advice on her stockings. Most of the time they are much too shiny which gives her sturdy well formed legs too much accent and this time a terrible colour that does absolutely not match either with skirt nor shoes.
