Wow, jeans and puff jacket better than a wardrobe full of frontzip dresses :-)) She looks so good in it. And teal/petrol is a splendid colour for her. -- I love polka dot, but this black one with the white piping is too hard on her somehow.

Finally. I've been saying for years she looks better in jackets and jeans (be it puffer or blazer). And I'll take the polka dot dress over frumpy florals any day of the week. This is a pleasant surprise !

@Virginia, same here - I am the one complaining here all the time why she does not wear two-pieces (like her wonderful ones worn when in Scotland). I admit I never wear a suit jacket, too stiff, therefore not really comfortable, and maybe this is her reason too - but well, nobody scrutinises me like they do with Camilla.

La reine vêtue en jean … quelle agréable surprise !
J’aime ! Il est une harmonie entre les couleurs choisies.

J’aurais bien aimé voir son sac/ sa pochette de plus près.

Camilla actually looks pretty good in her jeans and puffer jacket. I like this look on her very much! From her relaxed smiles in those photos, I think she feels very comfortable too.

Won't comment on the black and white polka dot dress until I can see a full-length pic of Camilla in it.

It must have been cold there, since the warm puffer jacket. Still a nice look. Her son was there too. Not a real fan of the black polka dot dress.

  6. J'aime la voir en tenue décontractée comme dans cette doudoune et ce jean que je lui ai déjà vu porter à la campagne en compagnie de Charles et d'un adorable toutou qu'ils avaient adopté !

I love her look! Not as a fashion statement, but as a regular lady wearing something warm and comfy for the trip and then jumping into her "uniform" it gives me the feeling of warmth and proximity to people, and not only the official role she plays.

  8. She looks fantastic in casual wear what a great surprise. The b/white dress is very becoming and suits her well. I like the white piping, elevates the overall look.

Oh my goodness! Twice in one day, and not in her uniform dress! See Camilla, you can look good in something different.

  12. So the english word is "puffer"? I have two puffer coats myself, because they are warm and practical. But I must say I never like wearing them. I don't think anybody looks welldressed in puffer.
I have an old and still beautiful and elegant fur coat. I seldom wear it - I live in a big city and people react quite aggressive towards fur.

Interesting to read your comment and learn a bit more about you Coralie. I would not myself buy fur but I have come to appreciate as warm and far more environmentally kind than all the plastics we wear. Regarding puffer jackets, I do like them, and do think they look very good if reasonably fitted. Where I live they are essential, and maybe that helps me find them very cute! I prefer them to wool coats which are hardly warm here, and dont mind if people wear them over formal clothes as often as necessary. But yes, they are plastic, and your fur, were you to lay it in the ground finally, it would break down and leave no trace.

I agree with the majority, Queen Camilla really looks good in her jeans and puffer jacket.
As for the dress. It is like ME+EM made this dress especially for Queen Camilla. It is nearly the same style as all her other dresses she wears almost always. Personally, I rarely like the clothes made by this brand.

I have nothing against jeans for older women. However, I think they look better and in this case more elegant when the blue is very dark. The dress is very prim and proper, she reminds me of a modern nun or a female priest.

@Virginia: I am curious to know why you think that a very dark blue jeans would be better? I have the same age as Camilla and I wear white, red, pink, green, light an dark blue, aubergine, taupe, brown, grey and black trousers, some of them classical jeans some of them not. It never occurred to me that the colour plays a(n age dependent) role, except that the colours I wear with those trousers should be in good harmony.

Who would have thought the queen looks best in jeans and a puffer jacket. She looks fabulous.

  18. If Camilla just changed her puffer jacket for a dressing gown, I’d publicly accuse her of copying my daytime “at-home” uniform.
I can just see Vogue covering the incident.

Dear 18.29, I simply think that jeans in dark blue look more elegant than the lighter, BLUE ones on older women, especially when they are washed-out, which is not the case here. I did not refer to other colours. Actually, the dark blue ones are often difficult to find.
