Yes, she looks lovely. But I find those long fake nails repulsive on anyone. Abby

  2. I don't think leather is appropriate for this type of royal event. It gives the impression of a more casual & relaxed look. I also don't like the caramel colour but that is a personal preference. But, I do think the design of the suit is elegant & I like the use of subtle trim on the hem, skirt, pockets, collar etc. Camilla's dress is nice. No complaints.

  5. Wow, both ladies’ outfits look great. QCamilla really pulled out the jewels this week! I loved seeing the triple strand Greville necklace at the state dinner and now several strands of pearls held with diamond clasp AND another necklace behind it. Lovin’ it!!

Yes, the Greville was breathtaking - and could have been even more fabulous, with just a tiny bit more space to shine. The second necklace is, against all odds (necklace behind such a pearly magic), very nice, given the neckline accommodating it well. .

I would looooove to see the wonderful things in that library. Both ladies looked good...I was hoping to see a floaty dress on Melania, but she does look chic in this suit. I've always thought Camilla's dress, with the vertical detailing, is one of her most flattering. Well done.

F.L.Melania's suit emphasizes her stratospheric body shape, absolutely gorgeous.
    The tan colour is glorious.
Her accessoires are to die for, too.
Q.Camilla looks fine, the vertical dark lines give more definition to her dress.

This is a typical case of "I personally don't like it but she looks good": Leather is sure not something I would chose for the whole outfit (well, or at all, it can be very soft leather but even then it has a stiffness that makes it more suitable for handbags). Same for this colour, I dislike it strongly. But Melania looks good in it, the tailoring is perfect and she can wear this colour. - Just a small detail in pic 4: you can see why it can be very advantageous to wear a pantyhose, especially if a woman is not so young any more and the veins begin to slightly show around the ankles/feet. I mean Melania: of course, not really a faux pas to show some veins, no - but smoothness tends to look better and even a very thin pantyhose gives that smoothness.

I really respect your comments. Knowing that you wouldn't wear this yourself but but acknowledging that it looks good on her is what I wish we would see more of. The "just no" and "it's a no from me" comments never add to the conversation. I always appreciate more context.

While some leather can be very stiff, lamb leather is very supple.

I agree, there are wonderful, very sheer nylons on the market in very subtle shades that make legs look more elegant and more attractive once you reach a certain age. Queen Camilla‘s legs look silky.

Love the fashion on both the Queen and FL. Voting this the best for the FL during the whole visit…modern and classic all rolled together.

I am not a fan of leather, but boy this suit is very nice. The fit is perfect and the caramel colour suits the First Lady. It reminds me of 1950’s cowboy decor.

I saw this leather suit first thing this morning on SM (thanks to a time difference) and I was wowed by it. The detailing is exquisite (the edging), and the First Lady wears it very well.

  16. This tan leather outfit, wow! the First Lady looks incredible. I love, love !! this ensemble. The tan color looks wonderful and suits Melania beautifully. The fit of this outfit, is spot on. Love the shoe color. I am not always keen on leather outfits, but this is the exception. Beautiful presentation.
Queen Camilla looks good in this dress. The vertical lines are very enchasing of her and suit her well. Love the pearl choker, lovely addition and perfect finishing touch.

I love the First Lady’s outfit - she looks stunning, but part of this comes from her impeccable straight posture. She knows what works for her. I would like to see Camilla in a two piece outfit with a straight skirt - or better yet, she should embrace a few pant suits. I think it would change her look dramatically. The dresses with so much material in the skirt are not flattering for her figure and give off that frumpy vibe.

Entirely agreed as far as F.L.Melania is concerned.
I'd venture to say that she has been "privileged" twice: the first from her naturally being so well shaped and tall, the second for having previous modelling experience, which can account for her perfect posture, cinfidence and demeanor.
You are exactly right, Melania knows what just works for and on her, regardless the context she blends in.
I think it is party due to her inborn impeccabile fashion sense.
No runway can give you such a knack for well put together outfits all the time.
I think it is basically a natural gift and she has it all.

In my eyes Malania’s clothes are always very severe.
Of course she has a splendid bodyshape, but it seems her clothes has to emphasize just that: they miss “Schwung”.

Severe that describes her style well. She is not a frilly, lacy, full skirt type person. All well structured garments, the details,in the design.

Another knocked it out the ball park look from Mrs Trump. The suits beautifully tailored. It’s showcases her figure. The color is also very flattering.
