On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Princess Benedikte of Denmark welcomed schoolchildren from Tasiilaq, Greenland, and from Gentofte Municipality on the east coast of Zealand. Each September, it has been a long-standing tradition for students from Tasiilaq to spend a week in Gentofte as part of an exchange program. This year, Princess Benedikte invited them to a gathering at Christian VII's Palace at Amalienborg.
The initiative was originally launched when the Princess served as patron of the former Gentofte-Greenland Committee. During the event, the Greenlandic schoolchildren presented a gift to Princess Benedikte before performing a musical piece. Joining the 20 Greenlandic students from Tasiilaq and 21 pupils from Gentofte Municipality, the Mayor of Gentofte, Michael Fenger, also attended and delivered a speech.

Love the beaded necklaces. Lovely outfit on the princess perfect to meet with the children.
ReplyDeleteTheir necklaces reminds me the Indians of North America.
