King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia Visit New York for the UN’s 80th Anniversary

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia are in New York to attend, among other events, the opening of the United Nations General Assembly as well as the commemoration of the UN’s 80th anniversary. On September 21, the King and Queen were received at UN Headquarters by Secretary-General António Guterres. Later, together with the Swedish Foreign Minister, they were welcomed by the President of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock.

On September 22, 2025, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the UN Rose Garden. Afterwards, the King, Queen, and Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard attended the UN General Assembly in New York City during the celebration of the UN's 80th anniversary. The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945.

    Elégante veste de Weill ; j'ai remarqué que la Reine en possède plusieurs dans ce style qu'elle sait porter soit sur une robe, une jupe ou un pantalon comme pour cette occasion – A mon avis, ses chaussures noir et blanc auraient été parfaites !

    Another smart jacket and pants outfit on Queen Silvia.
    I have a pair of shoes like what Silvia is wearing with the turquoise dress
    but I ' ll bet hers cost way more than mine.!
    I continue to enjoy seeing the very sensible shoes worn by both
    Letizia and Silvia.
    Lots of royals in New York City this week so looking forward to an array of fashion.

    I like Queen Silvia's second outfit - a light blue dress with a white jacket.
    Mrs. Baerbock (German Foreign Minister) has a nice jacket in a nice bordeaux color, but dislike the pants. Tight pants take away from the elegance.
    The lady with glasses in a purple dress - is a cautionary tale - how not to dress The cut of her dress is terrible, wrinkled, deforming the figure.

    Both outfits fit well, good colour. The king in his impeccable suit. He like the king of Spain have excellent tailors for this perfect fit.
