Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, together with Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill, attended the 50th birthday celebration of Karl-Johan Persson, chairman of the fashion company Hennes & Mauritz (H&M). The party took place at Rosendals Trädgårdar in Stockholm. For the occasion, Crown Princess Victoria wore a jumpsuit designed by Selam Fessahaye using fabric from the Scandinavian textile brand Selfmade. Princess Madeleine wore a dress by Johanna Ortiz.

Very nice and well fitting.

DeleteBoth very nice outfits. I don’t usually like shoes with straps on the ankle, but the ones Princess M is wearing are very becoming because of the very thin strap.
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely outfits, very attractive.
ReplyDeleteVictoria’s jumpsuit makes my eyes hurt, but I can be glad at least that it was a private occasion, not a “royal on duty” one…
ReplyDeleteI for one like it very much. It is something I would wear.
DeleteCoralie you’ll have to fight me for it! It’s stunning and the pic of her back with top of the jumpsuit is beautiful. Although it looks like a private photo that has then been sold to media and I very much regret that if so.
DeleteTotally agree with you, Anonymous 11:57! That is a very wonderful picture - but should it not remain private...?
DeleteCoralie, I hope I will vin the fight of that wonderful jumpsuit 🤺😅.
DeletePerhaps the photo of Victoria's back is a private one but I'm glad to have seen it, it's so very beautiful.
Madeleine's dress looks very elegant but a little bit too formal for me. I like her shoes very much.
Victoria is dressed appropiate for a friend's birthday party
DeleteHa ha now Coralie, Zucchina and I are all in the jumpsuit fight!
DeleteLadies, welcome to the jumpsuit-fightclub!
DeleteAnon at 19:00, 😁
DeleteThe Jumpsuit Fightclub? Where do I sign up?!
DeleteMy first thought was: now, in addition to the gold statuette ‘Oscar’, there is also a female statuette, the ‘Madeleine’. The outfit is perfect, movie-like/cinematic, and shines alongside the princess's equally radiant personality. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThe golden fabric of Princess Madeleine's dress looks like a dress worn by Meghan Markle a while ago. I like her in that dress. The shoes are O.K. since she is tall enough to wear ankle straps. I don't like the fabric of CP Victoria's jumpsuit, much too busy. I don't understand why she has a preference for fabrics with little flowers. She is much more pretty in plain fabrics like royal blue, fuchsia, pink, green, red, etc
ReplyDeleteOh, very good observation! The dress Meghan wore is also by Johanna Ortiz and appears to use the same metallic fabric.

DeleteThanks for the link.
Wish I had your memory 😏😏
DeleteThx anonymous 09:27. Not often I receive good compliments for my observation and what I think is looking good.
@Anon 16:19 I'm sorry to hear that's the case! It's a shame that there's often little genuine feedback in the comments. But I completely agree with your comment. Warm regards from Switzerland! Anon 09:27
DeleteMadeleine est sublime

P M very lovely as always!
ReplyDeletePrincess Madeleine looks stunning. Golden dress is difficult to pull off but Madeleine has done it so elegantly and stylishly. Love everything about this look. So good to have her back in Sweden and seeing her more often!

ReplyDeleteNice to see both princesses together. I am not really a fan of any of their outfit ; golden fabric is not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteIn fact on the photo's we don't see them together. They were both invited by H & M especially CP Victoria who is client since ages at H & M's.
DeleteMadeleine is the golden girl!
ReplyDeleteI’m afraid I can’t agree with the majority here. Princess Madeleine has reached a point in life — as all of us eventually do — when a supportive bra is needed, and that makes dresses like this one a bad choice for her. I think that is obvious from the photos. Ducking and running now 😁 — Jane
ReplyDeleteI think she does not have that much to hide. For me she can still afford to wear this type of dress. Besides there are many sorts of support now: like bra's incorporated in the dress, tape that one can apply directly on the skin, strapless bra's especially for dresses like this, etc...
DeleteOh yes, Jane, you better run! The fans of Madeleine don't accept other opinions...
DeleteAre you still ducking and running Janet?! I would say as we get older we do get a little bit more floppy … but that’s ok and we really can’t prop up all the floppy bits, so instead … we can wear the gold dress, ditch the bra, enjoy the health and beauty we have. We don’t have to continue to look young nor prop up the floppy bits as if we were. (Should I also duck and run?!).
DeleteAnonymous 19:02, as fast as you can!
DeleteI do not think that it has anything to do with being one of Madeleine's fans.
DeleteThat would be childish and I personally am and feel like an adult commenting on another adult, a born royal lady in the current case.
It Is all about having the" physique du role" to wear some kind of clothes ,including this golden gown.
Some women can, others just can't , bra being simply a minor matter of discussion.
What's more, I can't imagine where one could place a classical, supportive bra underneath a gown like this one.
Some women couldn't wear this gown out of many other parts" to prop up".
I'd say that this sort of gowns don't forgive anything.
Either you have the whole body and the beauty to wear this challenging design or you don't have them.
Madeleine has them, exactly as many other
" common/ ordinary" women.
This is the real core topic of the discussion, not the bra, imo.
Moreover, it is clear that Madeleine's breast area looks perfect in the front pic (the last one next to model).
The model would just look the same if we could see her in side pics.
This gown would look sensational on curvier women, say a bit like Marilyn Monroe as well.
I am not a special fan of Princess Madeleine, but when I read the childish reactions here I must write how I see it. For the rest you can write and think what you want. There are other royal ladies much older than Princess Madeleine who could use your advice Jane @ 16:36

Yes Coralie!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe she is wearing a dress similar to Markle! Egads! Markle wore a strapless version.
ReplyDeleteLive and let live. I'd say Princess Madeleine is above such questions. She doesn't have time to worry constantly about what others are wearing: She just chooses what she likes. Besides, maybe the dress was a gift from her husband?
