On August 30, 2025, Princess Marie Caroline of Liechtenstein, the only daughter of Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein, married Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer at Vaduz Cathedral (Cathedral of St. Florin). The solemn wedding mass was celebrated by Bishop Benno Elbs. A reception will take place at Vaduz Castle following the ceremony.
Princess Marie Caroline arrived at Vaduz Cathedral on the arm of her father, Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein. Princess Marie Caroline wore the Habsburg Fringe Tiara and Princess Marie’s diamond earrings. She wore a white wedding gown and a large bridal veil adorned with sparkling stones and delicate lace details.
Hereditary Princess Sophie, Prince Joseph Wenzel, Prince Georg, Prince Nikolaus, Princess Margaretha, Princess Maria-Anunciata, Princess Marie-Astrid, Prince Philipp, and Princess Isabelle attended the wedding ceremony. In addition to family members and friends, representatives of the Principality were present.
Such interesting photos, lovely wedding dress, happy bride. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeletevery simple and beautiful dress, but the tiara is too grand so a simple gown
DeleteThe bride's dress is lovely, especially the sleeves. Gives a light look to the dress. They make a handsome couple. Congratulations to them and their families.

Agree @Anon 9:13. This 'Oscar de la Renta dress' is magnifique. All the wedding guests in these pictures look good and all the ladies have very beautiful dresses. The mother of the bride looks lovely in pink.
DeleteFully agree !
Delete@Zucchina, MaryT (and others): Isn't it refreshing to see a Royal wedding where the dresses and clothing are not overblown nor excessive nor OTT but still beautiful? There is an air of simplicity yet still lots of sophistication here, and I like that. Seeing some of the simpler clothing choices of the families and guests also helps to make royal events like this more relatable to ordinary observers like us :) I'm also loving the wonderful flower displays.

Very beautiful dress of the bride !!
ReplyDeleteMagnifique robe de mariée mais je n aime pas du tout le volant aux manches.
ReplyDeleteLe diadème est majestueux
Froufrou
The first photos published on the 30th of Aug, I was not sure why I did not appreciate the sleeves, however today, with more photos to view, I saw a different view of the dress in church seated/formal photos #4, #6, I saw the true portrait of the gown, the sleeves are fine, in line with the rest of the tiers on the dress. Simple, beautiful, classy. She was a beautiful bride.
DeleteLovely couple!
ReplyDeleteAlles Gute fur das Brautpaar!!
ReplyDeleteLove the design detail on the bridal gown. Beautiful dress on HP Sophie. Pretty dresses on the other women. Christine
ReplyDeleteLove the lace of the dress, I am not fussy about the frilly sleeve but it does add a feminine touch. Lovey couple. A very nice dress for mother of the bride, I like to think she wore pink for her only daughter’s wedding.
ReplyDeleteLovely, happy bride and bridal couple. Princess Sophie's mother-of-the-bride attire looks lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteI am admittedly very surprised to see how many family members did not attend the wedding, or at least who have not yet been reported or photographed. Her paternal grandfather, uncle, aunt and their spouses/families all seem to be missing. There would be alot more fashion had they attended, especially Princess Angela!
Family members did attend the wedding, including Princess Angela. You can see more pictures here: https://www.gettyimages.com/editorial-images/news/event/wedding-of-princess-marie-caroline-of-liechtenstein-to-mr-leopoldo-maduro-vollmer/776351257?editorialproducts=all
DeleteHer grandfather was there just not photographed. I like that the attention was all on the bride.
DeleteThank you Anonymous 8:02 for the link. I truly could not find them anywhere!
DeleteThe bride’s dress and veil are interesting and unique and look lovely on her. She manages to wear the very tall tiara quite well.

Beautiful bride, dress, tiara and earrings. I never thought I would like a wedding dress with horizontal strips but this is lovely. This is light, summery and very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It’s a beautiful summery dress. Love the traditional long train. The tiara is fabulous. A very handsome couple
DeleteAbsolutely lovely, delicately detailed wedding gown. Exquisite flowers. Tiara similar to the one worn by Her Late Majesty Elizabeth and loaned to Princess Anne and Princess Beatrice for their weddings.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t care for the dress - I think the effect was that of a 7 year old girl at a tea party in a fussy dress. I liked the details of the fabric but think a sleeker shape (rather than a ball gown) and a shape that had more movement to it would have been more flattering. But then, it’s not my dress.
ReplyDeleteI do think the bride looked beautiful from the neck up - her tiara, hair, earrings, and SMILE were gorgeous.
And all the flowers were amazing!
Not sure what you mean by a sleeker shape with movement. The top of her dress is not little girl. If it had puffy sleeves then I could see 7 yr old.
DeleteI feel the skirt shape is to show case the beautiful lace. Like you say, not your dress
Anonymous 23.11: I agree with the dress comment. Too childish. But the bride and groom are beautiful, the children delightful as always and the photos gorgeous. Irene
DeleteI fully agree. CC
Deletewhat a beautiful bride ! everything is perfect: the dress, the tiara and the smile on her
ReplyDeletebeautiful face
Lovely. Simply lovely. Best wishes to this beautiful couple!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful wedding gown does anyone know the designer? Love the Tiara. Both look so happy. Pss Maria Caroline is beautiful young women. I wish them the very best for their future.

@css, Oscar de la Renta.

DeleteBrides often choose designs that do not suit them - but I must say that this is a perfect match of design to the wearer in terms of her face, body shape and ethereal vibe. The tulle, lace fabric and translucent see-through veil are just right for her light frame. Lyra
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful Princess Bride! Maria Caroline is stunning in her pretty bridal gown and her groom is very handsome. So happy to see her wear the Hapsburg Fringe tiara as well as the earrings that belonged to Princess Marie--they bring such elegance and sparkle. Princess Sophie looks lovely, wearing a beautiful pink floral dress--the color is wonderful on her--and I see a distinct resemblance between mother and daughter. Love the blue and white hydrangeas mixed with the white roses. Such a beautiful wedding!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Agree on all points, thank you Janet for stating so well
DeleteHas anyone noticed the similarity to the gorgeous bride and her mother. What a lovely tiara and earrings!
ReplyDelete美しい夏の花嫁。胸の切り替えがもう少し上だったら良かったと思います。
ReplyDeleteThe bridal gown is very pretty, feminine and elegant. The sleeves are interesting and lovely. The lace effect is gorgeous. The bridal veil is splendid. Her diamond earrings are beautiful, and suit her well. The tiara, handed down by generation and I appreciate that fact. She is a beautiful bride.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, soft and feminine dress!
ReplyDeleteThe top half of the dress is lovely but I'm not liking the lower half. It's a bit of a table cloth look. The veil and tiara are great and she's nicely made up
ReplyDeleteKim
Table cloths are not made of tulle
DeleteA beautiful bride. Although I am not a fan of too many details in a bridal gown like the lace in the dress and the veil, the sparkling dots in the veil, the big earrings, the big tiara, the whole bridal outfit is perfect for Princess Marie-Caroline. It fits her beautifully.
ReplyDeleteOn a Dutch website I read that the dress is bought in Italy without mentioning the name of the designer.
Princess Sophie's dress by Oscar de la Renta ressembles a lot at a dress Queen Mathilde has by the same designer. It is not the typical "mother of the bride" dress.
The flower arrangements at the entrance of the cathedral and along the stairs are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteWow, everything Is perfect here, the couple, their parents, the guests, the jewellery array, the floral arrangements and the whole fairytale background.
Bride and groom look to have come out from some painter's masterpiece.
The bride's gown shows an exquisite manufacture, crystals and beads reflecting the light all over her like a halo.
Fabulous veil and train, breathtaking Hapsburg fringe tiara, precious earrings.
Love the bride's hair colour and style.
Handsome groom, faultlessly attired.
The bride's parents look gorgeous as well.
50/10

ReplyDeleteAt first I did not like the sleeves, but after looking at more photos on the Internet with full views, they are in harmony with the Habsburg tiara and the intricate design of the beautiful bridal gown. Reminds me of Visconti scenes (films).
