Princess Kiko of Japan attended the final round of the 10th National Boccia Senbatsu Koshien
On the morning of August 7, 2025, Princess Kiko of Japan attended the final round of the “10th National Boccia Senbatsu Koshien,” a tournament held in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, where middle and high school students from special-needs schools compete for the national championship.

A total of 45 special-needs schools from across Japan participated. Fourteen teams advanced from the preliminary rounds, and together with the defending champion and seeded schools from the previous year, sixteen schools competed in the finals. Boccia is a precision sport in which colored balls are thrown or rolled toward a white target ball, called the jack.
