On 26 August 2025, King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived at Hanstholm Harbor in Thisted Municipality aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, as part of this year’s summer cruise. Upon their arrival, the King and Queen were received by, among others, Mayor Niels Jørgen Pedersen. Many local residents had gathered at the harbor to greet the Royal Couple.
Accompanied by Mayor Niels Jørgen Pedersen and his wife, Annemarie Smalbro, the King and Queen traveled by carriage to the Old Town Hall at Store Torv in the center of Thisted. At the Old Town Hall, Mayor Niels Jørgen Pedersen delivered an official welcome speech for the King and Queen. The building, designed by the architect Gottlieb Bindesbøll, was completed in 1853 and is notable for its historicist style with distinct features of the Dutch Renaissance.
Dress jacket a jacket made for a dress: wonderful! the dress itself, what I see of it: how I wish that this long dress fashion would go away, together with details that don't make them better, like here the lower part of the skirt with whatever that separate part is called, so I call it: lopsided, what it is, not even straight. Just superfluous. But I am happy with that jacket and also with the hat and the earrings, very queenly.

ReplyDeleteThe navy jacket seals the deal on this great outfit! Love the hat too, but without the jacket, the overall look would feel too casual I’m my opinion. The King looks so dashing in this uniform!

ReplyDeleteI love Mary's outfit. The dress is simple and pretty, the hat is lovely, and the short jacket is perfectly suited to be worn over a dress, as was mentioned above. Whether she wore the jacket for warmth, or to add an element of formality, it hit the mark together with Frederik's dashing uniform; they both strike the same complementary tone.

La reine Mary est non seulement ravissante dans son choix de vêtements mais, j'apprécie qu'elle se tienne légèrement en retrait pour ne pas faire ombrage à son époux. Lorraine (Rose).
