On July 2, 2025, the Princess of Wales visited the RHS Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital in Colchester. She spoke with patients and staff to learn how gardens in healthcare settings contribute to positive health outcomes and support faster recovery. The Princess was also invited to plant some of the roses in the garden alongside staff members who volunteer there.
The Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital, opened in July 2024, offers a relaxing and restorative space for NHS staff, patients, and visitors. The visit coincides with the donation of 50 Catherine's Rose plants, named after the princess by the RHS with funds from sales going to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
A total of 500 Catherine's Rose plants will be donated to wellbeing and community gardens across the UK this summer — including Maggie's centres for people affected by cancer, East Anglia's Children’s Hospices, and Horatio's Gardens for individuals living with spinal injuries.
Very nice jacket, colour is very good on her. Still don’t like the skinny pant look on her though she wears them well. A well matched outfit formthe occasion
ReplyDeleteAgree and would have loved her to match this with another type of pants.
DeleteThis is really an excellent composition of carefully and well-chosen pieces! Two kinds of stripes: very well played too, the shirt cuffs over the jacket sleeves is just that nice cherry topping on the cake. I am happy not to see too tight trousers, just a normal cut. Casual dressing at its best.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree about the jacket and the shirt. Such a great combination, which I never would've found out myself.
DeleteThis lovely jacket is not a good colour for Catherine.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about Catherine that since her illness she appears to have a brighter smile.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% on that.

Her makeup is less dramatic, lighter color lipstick.
DeleteA new zest for life. A colleague of mine battled cancer and survived too, and since then she has been glowing and doing things outside her comfort zone.
DeleteI love the combination of the blouse and jacket. The two prints coordinate beautifully. The straight legged pants are flattering on her and are a great choice with sneakers to do some planting.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with stripes! The RL beige striped shirt is very classic and looks great inside the blazer which also has a subtle stripe. It elevates the look from being a bit dull. I would never have thought to mix two different stripes but surprisingly it works.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfit for Catherine, beautifully put together and she looks as lovely and fresh as a daisy. Love that she really really has her hands in the dirt … no ceremonial clean royal shovel and a few pokes for her. The idea of nature and garden for our health and in health care is marvellous. - Mary
ReplyDeleteAgree in all points, Mary!
DeleteI love Kate's ensemble, all of it - shirt, shoes, trousers and that well cut jacket. It all goes together very well and she looks good in it.

The blouse and a jacket are perfect combination, the material makes this outfit special - I just love linen in natural colour tone.
ReplyDeleteNice outfit.

Catherine har gröna fingrar!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see her looking so well but the outfit is disappointing. In spite of their different shapes and sizes, all except one of the ladies in the group photo has made an effort to dress up. There certainly seems to be a thing about long dresses, as worn by Sophie. The dull colour of Princess Catherine’s blazer and the skinny jeans are not her best look
ReplyDeleteI know many might not agree but I love her hair….the color, length, everything !
ReplyDeleteI was looking at photos from Wimbeldon and Catherine’s hair is quite a bit shorter and colour different which leads me to believe she is wearing a hair piece for this occasion. Nothing wrong with that, just an observation
ReplyDeleteThese photos are not from this year: she hasn’t been there yet.
Delete@Anon 03:03: "Observation": Sorry, but I think we can only make an observation about something that is really there. You are only making an assumption about a hairpiece.
DeleteNever thought of a combination of two types of stripes. It looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteJ’adore cette tenue qui lui va å ravir.
ReplyDeleteLovely Catherine, always a warm smile. God bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI like this ensemble it works well for the princess. I like this longer size jacket, striped blouse underneath, I love. Her darker brown pants look good. It’s good to see her out and about looking great, well and happy.
ReplyDeleteCatherine looks wonderful, what a great combination of every piece in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteCette combinaison a été très bien choisie ; j'adore le lin de la chemise !
ReplyDeleteNice, as always!
ReplyDeleteThe colour of this outfit is slightly drab, however, what I like here is that the Princess is casually dressed, yet every piece is in harmony and the overall look still has a good degree of dignity. This is what I meant the other day when QUEEN
ReplyDeleteMaxima looked as though she were going to the beach in her orange outfit.

I think there is a time when even a fashionista like me has to take a step back and let a deep emphatic mode prevail over futile appearances.
ReplyDeleteClosets and stuffed designer clothes simply disappear.
This is the right time for musings.
All I can think about and be moved by is the Princess of Wales' strongly personal message to the patients she visited and to the public.
She said:
'You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like "I can crack on, get back to normal" but actually the phase afterwards is really difficult.
'You're not necessarily under the clinical team any longer but you're not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to.
This is a life lesson for everyone.and surely a great support to all sick people.
Thank you, Princess Catherine.
