This pretty pastel color suits Mathilde but I am not too fond of the neckline.
I think her right foot still looks a bit swollen but Mathilde has managed to get into very high heels.

I agree that the neckline isn’t great. Sometimes that looks like laziness on the part of the designer, and I don’t think the bunching of material rather than a neat neckline suits anyone. Mathilde looks fantastically elegant - despite the dress having a few design errors ( in my view). The absolute winner is the bouquet. No one can out-design nature!

Queen Mathilde has worn this dress for the first time during the Queen Elisabeth music competition 2024. The neckline was a fashion detail last year, I have a tunic blouse in the same color as the queen's dress with the same neckline from a German brand.
In the beginning I regretted that I had bought such a blouse because it was not easy to find a necklace that I could wear with a neckline like this. Finally I found a cheap thin necklace being a light silvery chain with little black and metallic medaillons. It was a good idea, the chain looks like it was made to wear with this blouse.
Back to Queen Mathilde's dress, I found out that there are pockets in the side seams of the dress. It must not always be the same old way to wear dresses with no fantasy at all. Neat necklines can be found and worn any time, but if one likes to wear now and then something out of the ordinary one must do it.

So well coordinated with the colour of the dress.

Yes, I agree with you about the dress and the bouquet. I often find that bouquets, in my opinion, are poorly coordinated in terms of colour and design with the royal ladies’ clothes. Since everything usually runs on a tight schedule and there is a lot of communication before the visit, I am sure there is information about the clothes that would make the bouquet and dress match much better. This is a good example of how beautiful the whole thing looks when everything is well coordinated.

In Belgium the bouquets are always coordinating with the color of the dress. When Queen Mathilde attends the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition she always receive a bouquet in one or more colors which are chosen according the colors of her dress or pant suit.

What a pity Queen Mathilde's dress is too long. This maxi dress (described by Armani as a midi dress) would look much better in the normal length Queen Mathilde wears the majority of her dresses. The dress is made in a silk quality I've never heard of : Marocain silk. She looks lovely and this soft color suits Queen Mathilde very well. The accessories in gold leather and the jewelry are very beautiful.

I agree, the dress is a tad too long, none the less Queen Mathilde looks lovely and elegant.

The youngest girl is a “breathtaking” (mozzafiato) beauty. (She looks like a 20s/30s painting) Irene

Yes the littlest girl is very beautiful. All kids are of course, but she had a particular something.

Even though Mathilde hasn't worn this gown exactly as it was designed (per the model), where the belt detail was meant to sit loosely just above the hips, and she has worn it on her waist, the dress still looks good on her. One would have expected the dress to have been shorter as a result, but it is still quite long, so her dress was likely customised to her shape. Still, she looks lovely in it though I also like the subtlety of the model style.

I love photo #2 with the two other ladies in green and blue/grey. Both of those ladies look great. The lady in blue has a great body and has chosen the perfect dress to show it off, as we can see. If you've got it, then why not? :)
And finally, I love Mathilde's artistic bouquet.

The lady in the blue dress has the body of a ballerina. Any dress in this style and fabric would look good on her. I think she is the teacher of the young children or a responsable of a group of dancers.

  8. Très jolie robe dont la couleur pastel sied à ravir à Mathilde mais petit bémol au niveau de l’encolure qui monte trop haut ; elle serait beaucoup mieux avec une légère ouverture en V !

I like this dress and the neckline is good so when she bends over she is still covered. The lady in blue with the cutout bodice is not flattering imo, the undergarment is too revealing. The queen looks so feminine and regal in this dress.

Finally a dress that doesn't look so "ancient grandma" and highlights her shape.

I love everything about this dress: the neckline, the length, color, etc. Very flattering on Mathilda! I saw the photos and then saw it was by Armani and thought no wonder as this dress fits her to a tee, whereas I'm not a fan of many of her Nathan outfits. And the bouquet also adds to the whole ensemble - striking!

  13. Although it’s pale and a little too long, this is a lovely dress for Queen Mathilde. The gold accessories are perfect and the shoes are gorgeous. Love the blue dress, worn by the other lady in the photos.
