On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg traveled to Arles, France, to attend the 2025 edition of Les Rencontres d’Arles, a summer event she particularly enjoys. She was accompanied by Minister Éric Thill. Les Rencontres d’Arles is an annual photography festival founded in 1970 by Arles-born photographer Lucien Clergue, writer Michel Tournier, and historian Jean-Maurice Rouquette.

This year, Lët'z Arles is showcasing Carine Krecké, winner of the 2025 Luxembourg Photography Award, who invites the public in southern France to experience Losing North. Behind this title lies a long-term artistic investigation launched in 2018, focusing on the war in Syria. The Chapelle de la Charité serves as the venue for a curated selection of her work.

I asked myself the same question. If so, there is no official announcement currently.

I hope so for your sake. Not only is it rude to wonder aloud, you should be embarrassed for asking if she isn't expecting.

I don’t think she’s pregnant but that style of dress can make any of us look pregnant. @16:39 has probably come down a little hard in her assessment of your comment, given that the styling of dress does tend to cause us to ask the question.

What’s the problem? She is just asking a question that everyone is thinking.

    5. I thought the same thing on seeing these photos but I think it is just the style of this unflattering dress. It might be better if shorter. Not that most of the other dresses are any better, with the exception of the bright pink one and the blue far left in the group photo. At least, if the temperature is still high in France, they look cool. (Cool as in comfortable, not fashionable!)

Stephanie does very well and what a quirky bag with a pearl chain.
The sandals are ok and looking comfortable.

A pretty summery dress, cute bag and nicely styled hair.

The fashion industry says "long" and everybody is running to buy and wear long, without considering that they don't have to - and that "long" only means: "you'll buy again "short" in 2-3 years. This is a catastrophe for the environment, but very good for the fashion industry. Stephanie's dress would be wonderful in knee-length, but in full length it is nothing but a textile overflow. Same applies for the ladies in yellow, green and pink, worsened by above mentioned textile overflow in the sleeves.

Interesting comment: and that’s part of the fun and waste of fashion. Fortunately for sustainability if you buy a long dress you can alter it short later - which doesn’t work as well if you buy short. I agree that these overly voluminous dresses don’t necessarily look great - although sometimes long cotton is cooler in the heat so it has its pkace.

Although shorter would be better it still is a lovely dress Stéphanie wears.

  7. Très jolie robe estivale dans un style bohème ; peut-être en attendant un heureux évènement ?

Well the design breaks up the silhouette nicely I guess. The handbag is the best. I must say that all the ladies are wearing similar dresses, lots of fabric, but I can’t say it makes anyone look elegant, just comfortable for the heat.

The third dress in the same style in less than 10 days and it is the worst. The first dress by Sezanne was the best of the three until know. The length was better, the bordeaux color was better and the bodice was longer. The second dress by Boden was already longer, the bodice shorter, only the blue and white color was good. Today she is wearing a dress which is not adapted to her morphology. In the first two dresses she didn't look pregnant, in this one she does. It is also the longest of the three dresses. At the back of the dress the bodice is ending at the waistline. In the front of the dress the bodice is ending under her breasts. No wonder she is looking pregnant. Doesn't she see it herself ? I prefer the handbag worn as a clutch, or with a thin chain to wear over the shoulder. The way Princess Stéphanie is wearing it with the big white pearls, I don't like at all.

Not all fashion trends need to be adhered to. Long Summer dresses are fine if you’re tall and can carry them off or wear them on your downtime.Personal style is what matters. Knowing what looks good on you. What enhances you as an individual. This dress I am afraid does the opposite of that for HGD. The V neckline is too low. The length too long. It doesn’t give her the most flattering silhouette. She is such a pretty lady, with a warm and endearing smile,a stylist could really help her to find the right look.
