Princess Caroline's style has blossomed in recent years since she has branched out from always wearing Chanel. This dress is a perfect choice for her in the boho style; unlike so many boho dresses we see, it has a beautiful shape, the pattern is interesting without overpowering her, and it can't be mistaken for a night-dress -- yet it still looks light and floaty. Just right. Lyra.

    1. I cannot be a supporter of Pr Caroline's dress. Ok it has a slit, apart from that it is a perfect granny dress. By the way I am a granny as well but would still not wear it.

MaryT, watch the use of “granny” as a criticism. Is there another way to say that? I’m a granny and I’m very cool and don’t want my very proud title of grandma to be associated with criticism when it’s so full of love and joy!

    3. I agree @anon 14:23. I'm a granny too and I find it almost an insult when someone is saying a dress is a "granny dress". I don't know what kind of dresses other grannies are wearing but in my country "granny dresses" belong to the past (perhaps because we are near dead before we can retire and so we will never have time to properly grow old 😂😂😂).
I think princess Caroline looks good in this beautiful dress. I follow Muzungusisters in instagram and they have really beautiful clothes for adults and children. Rich and beautiful colors.

  3. I don't understand it. This Charlotte Casiraghi is an exceptional beauty. And then she does not know how to stand for a photo??

Hundreds of photos will have been taken, often thousands. Including in the moments they are just getting ready to pose.

I like the interesting pattern on Caroline's dress.
If Sophie had worn this there would be a lot of negative comments about the length.

The difference between Caroline and Sophie is that we can guarantee Sophie would be wearing her dress longer than it was designed to be worn, where Caroline is wearing this dress correctly. When you wear a dress that is cut to be worn just below the knee and have it grazing your ankles, the proportions are off. That is what Sophie is guilty of. Also, when Sophie wears 99% of her dresses at ankle length, the impact of occasionally wearing a proper maxi is lost. I see Caroline wearing this dress and without looking I can be very comfortable that it is a maxi dress. I see Sophie wearing any of her dresses at maxi length and I am very comfortable with the belief that she is wearing her dress much too long. The promotional photos of the dresses almost always prove me right.

Caroline et Charlotte n ont pas hérité de l allure, la grâce et la beauté de leurs mère et grand mère.
Je trouve que Charlotte change physiquement.

I agree I have always felt Caroline favoured her father mostly which combined with her mother makes her an exceptional beauty.

I find this dress on Caroline not particularly becoming, perhaps it is the shoes that close up her feet and challenges the length. Charlotte although the colour is nice just looks out of proportion on her. She seems to struggle with nicely combed hair. Maybe it is her way of saying she doesn’t care what she looks like.

    3. Disagree. I find both Caroline and Charlotte much more beautiful than Grace Kelly. Both of them have more personality, character and individuality.
(But of course it can be due to the way the american actresses in those old days were marketed. Grace Kelly surely was marketet to please everybody and to serve as a kind of decal, if you know, what I mean.)

Why is their physical beauty being compared? They are each uniquely beautiful.

Paloma.

Having lived in countries for years where African prints and batik prints were seen everyday, I don't see any fault with Caroline's dress. I'm pretty sure the fabric is cotton which keeps one cool in searing temperatures. The style is simple and elegant for a tall, slim person and so would suit Caroline very well. And best of all, I credit the dressmaker for matching the pattern on a bias cut - not that easy to do (Interesting fact: Muzungu means 'white person' in swahili, a common word in post-colonial countries). It's not Caroline's finest dress but certainly not her worst, and quite appropriate and elegant in terms of the weather and the season.

I think Charlotte looks beautiful, and with a dress to match.

  8. I expect we will need to get use the word granny for a while. The word Grandma chic or Grandmillennial is now being touted in the world of interior design. It refers to traditional, ornate and elegant frilly interiors!
