On July 8, 2025, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the 105th edition of the ABC Journalism Awards ceremony and a dinner held in honor of this year’s award recipients at Espacio ABC in Madrid. Upon their arrival at ABC headquarters, Their Majesties were welcomed by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

During the awards ceremony, the King and Queen presented the 2025 ABC International Journalism Awards: the “Mariano de Cavia” prize to Jorge Fernández Díaz, the “Luca de Tena” prize to Carlos Alsina, and the “Mingote” prize to Txema Rodríguez. These awards are granted annually by ABC, a Spanish national daily newspaper.

    The queen looks stunning, this blue strapless gown looks fantastic. The single strand pearl necklace is a wonderful size sits beautifully, the size of the pearls are simply gorgeous. Beautiful quality Pearl necklace. Her earrings look good. They work well.

    This is a neat look, and the pearl necklace looks great with the black dress. Having said that, I cannot help but get Marge Simpson vibes from this, and that makes me chuckle.

    Gosh this king can really wears suits, so perfectly tailored. The queen looks lovely in her tight dress. A shame the pendant of her necklace does not show. Great looking couple.

    It's an OK dress but really nothing special. The basic black coupled with a very plain simple style is boring. I'm glad Letizia jazzed it up with the pearl necklace because it brings the outfit up a notch.
