Goodness. While no doubt a happy occasion, it also appears to be a rather fashion-challenged occasion for the ladies. Stephanie’s hair looks pretty at least.

      My thoughts exactly Royal Watcher.
I sure hope Stephanie doesn't become a regular wearer of the Natan label like Mathilde and Maxima.

Stephanie's Natan outfit hurts my eyes. And Maria Teresa's baby blue outfit with feathers...just a no!

It is not baby blue but turquoise and she looks better than her daughter in law.

  4. HGD Stephanie, this is a big no for me! It is shapeless and with too much pattern and it does her figure no favors. Stephanie can do much better and should!

Surprisingly, I like GD MT in this outfit very much, feathers and all. The turquoise looks lovely on her and the fit is simple but good; we can see her in many walking images and they all look quite consistent as she moves. However, I'm not sure if the top is supposed to be worn off one shoulder even though we know GD MT likes wearing tops that way. Wearing it squarely would also look good.
As for Stephanie, the dress is too voluminous for her frame. She's also wearing the dress longer, so perhaps a few inches off the bottom would have looked better. Nice to see so many family members supporting GD Henri.
And as for the cake, yes please.

I didn't notice what the ladies were wearing, I only saw the cake. 😁

Affreuse la robe de Stéphanie. On dirait un arbre feuillu qui se déplace dans la rue. J’ose å peine imaginer ce qu’elle nous réserve dans le futur. Vivement quelqu’un pour la conseiller, et surtout par Nathan.

The Nathan dress I dislike. The pattern of the fabric is not good to dense and loud. The actual style of the dresses are no.

GDMT looks great. I love this ensemble. It suits her. She looks very stylish. The colour is sublime..

You paid Maria Teresa a splendid compliment!
Tina Turner was a stunner both physically and artistically , not to mention her strength and value as a woman.
And her "company" of back vocalists and dancers was even more beautiful and eye- catching!
Please, go on with a more detailed description.
      Thank you.

Grand Duchess MT: I don't have a problem with the fluff, would love this outfit on her without that silly one shoulder. Or if one shoulder: not well solved. Nice wide open neckline would be better. Stephanie: She is blessed by beautiful legs ... well, I don't get it. And the cape is as if some more green roses needed to be added but the gown was already full. Green is good for her, but no way I can grasp why somebody wants to wear this vertical and horizontal abundance of green roses it in broad daylight. Or any time.

  12. The Natan dress would have been perfect without the cape, absolutely not necessary. I understand Stephanie's choice of shoes, there is quite some walking involved in the event.

I think the choice of MTh is perfect in my view, bearing in mind the difficulty of combining fit and style in her case. The more I see her, I believe her hair style fits her quite well.

I saw your comment about Princess Alexandra. It was about 30 degrees in Luxembourg. I don't know if Alexandra officially took part in the tour or if she stayed “backstage”. I can understand that she has to focus on other things because of her pregnancy. I'm sure her family will understand. I really like the way she looks on the balcony. She has no make-up on and looks relaxed, happy and natural.
I think Grand Duchess Maria Teresa's turquoise dress suits her perfectly, but it's not really appropriate for the occasion. Princess Stéphanie's dress is a bit too long. Perhaps higher shoes would have gone better with the dress? The earrings are very beautiful!

The idea of a cape dress for Princess Stephanie is not bad, but the printed fabric is not good. She should have chosen a plain color. For an event during the day, I would not have chosen a long cape dress.
I prefer GD M.-Teresa's outfit, the trousers are a bit too short. Princess Marie-Astrid is wearing a dress in a far too pale print, it washes her out. She can use a bit more color. Princess Alexandra is not dressed for the occasion. I know she is pregnant, but a wide dress in a soft color would have been lovelier. This family never know how to dress and for what occassion.

First of all, the style here is all over the place. Each lady looks as though she’s on her way to a different event: Stephanie to a very formal banquet (I’d have preferred a solid pastel color); Maria-Teresa to a fun evening gala (I am so, so sick of pantsuits on our royal ladies, but at least this one fits properly); Marie-Astrid to a garden party (she is perfection and gets the Best Dressed award 🏆) ; Alexandra (pregnant again? 🤔 I hope so 🙂) to a backyard barbecue. Please, beautiful ladies, it’s a double special occasion for Luxembourg. Could we not have chatted ahead of time to decide on the dress code?! — Jane

Stephanie looking stunning in this dress/cape. I surprise myself to say it, but I find her looking regal and very beautiful, and I think this suits her remarkably well.

We support the minority. I agree completely, she looks very regal. I do however understand the comment about the shoes. I also quite like MT's outfit. The colour suits her and the feathers accentuate her southern vibe.

  20. Was Princess Claire not present? Didn't see her in the pictures. I sort of like (would you believe it!) what GD Maria-Teresa is wearing here. The dress on HGD Stephanie is too much of a pattern for her, but I like the colours. Princess Astrid is trying to balance it all out by staying on a quite neutral territory, which could be called a little boring. I know, of course, that Princess Alexandra is pregnant with her second child, I clearly get that, but her choice of outfit doesn't make a lot of sense to me given the occasion. It is her father's Silver Jubilee, after all.

Well MT looks very nice in this colour, the pants could be a tad longer but given that they are wide leg it may of looked too much. Stephanie the dress without the cape would have been better, pattern is okay, and I am sure next time we see this dress it will be with heels. The visual of the two outfits together not so good, I had to look at them separately. I am just not a fan of Natan designs, they love fabric and bold designs. Like stated above I hope this will not be Stephanie’s go to.

Clearly someone is choosing their clothing for them out of a catalogue. P.Alexandra is a disappointment, perhaps not intending to be in a photo. Perhaps the extreme heat Europe is experiencing has factored into their fashion decisions.

The best dressed here is the Grand Duke--as usual he looks debonaire and elegant. Of the ladies, I give 1st place to Princes Marie Astrid as her floral dress is quite lovely. GD Maria Teresa--good color but the feathers and the off one shoulder are too much. The end of the top hits right across her hips and the top is being pulled by the poorly designed neckline. My biggest complaint about Princess Stephanie's look is her choice of shoes--totally wrong with this dress. I would have preferred to see this in a solid color--the shades of green are excellent for her. I think the look for her would be better if there was not a cape--a sheath with a little green bolero-style cardigan would be so much better for her. Prince Felix seems to have inherited his father's natural sartorial flair as he also looks wonderful here. My only issue is he's wearing a light suit that looks to be a linen summer suit while all of the other men are wearing a more business-looking blue suit but he still looks good. I'm missing Princess Claire here.

I always find GD MTand Queen Maxima fashion sisters. They both have a flamboyant side to them. It probably their South American vibe coming through. Not many could pull off a feathered cuff, but somehow MT does. Would it suit anyone else, probably not!
HGD Stephanie might benefit from a stylist prior to her stepping into the big role in October. She does not suit the flamboyant or busy prints, such as this from Natan. If she’d have just worn the blouce version with a pair of light weight Summer trousers might have calmed the look down. I find she suits the feminine streamed lines.
They all seem to be having a swell time. That cake is something else!

  28. Very much in the minority here but I quite like Princess Stephanie’s dress. I take the point that it could have looked better without the cape, but given some of the shapeless greige outfits she’s worn in the past, I’ll take colour and pattern any day. Even the old lady shoes are okay given the amount of walking they were doing. I like GD M-T’s outfit. It doesn’t seem over-the-top, given its Silver Jubilee celebration, though the off shoulder thing is annoying, as others have said. Princess Marie Astrid, pleasant dress, if slightly dull. Princess Alexandra is just awful. Being pregnant is no excuse for appearing at a major family and national event looking like she’s come in from the garden! When I see Prince Noah and Prince Gabriel, I feel really ancient!,

First thought that popped into my mind was " is Stephanie pregnant again?" That's the only reason I can think of for wearing a tent. It's a nice print though.
Maria Teresa looks adorable in turquoise, but totally not appropriate for the occasion.
