On June 18, Princess Adrienne of Sweden made her first official visit to her duchy, Blekinge, accompanied by her parents, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill. The Governor of Blekinge County, Ulrica Messing, hosted the visit. Upon her birth in 2018, King Carl XVI Gustaf granted Princess Adrienne the title Duchess of Blekinge.
Princess Adrienne visited the Blekinge Museum with her parents, Princess Madeleine, Christopher O’Neill and the County Governor. The county's official christening gift is a history-inspired playroom with a World Heritage theme, along with a “Gesällvandring” (journeyman’s walk) for children at the Blekinge Museum in Karlskrona.
The day concluded with a private visit to artist Susanne Demåne. Also in attendance was Ola Robertsson, Chair of the Municipal Executive Committee. Princess Adrienne explored the magical garden and experienced Demåne’s art from a child’s perspective. She also met Ferrari, a Shetland pony, who performed some of his best tricks.
Lovely outing, love Princess Madeleine's outfit, always on point. Glad to see them back and out in Sweden!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, she's such a sweetheart! And I've never seen her parents look so happy, especially her dad. Smiles everywhere! I think it's wonderful that she got to do this special trip with just her parents; puts the focus on her and makes her feel special. I love her mum's jacket. The colour and the cut is beautiful.

Princess Adrienne is adorable 🥰, and her lovely dress and shoes are perfect for the occasion. Princess Madeleine’s pants are, surprisingly, too short — but I appreciate that she is focused on letting her daughter shine on this very special day. It is lovely to see Chris O’Neil in such great spirits, a proud dad. — Jane
ReplyDeleteJane, those kind of ankle-length baggy pants seem to be in trend now, but I don't like them either. Narrow ankle-length pants are much better looking. The colour and the jacket are beautiful and suit her. Little Adrienne is adorable.
DeleteThe trousers are supposed to be that length. Madeleine looks perfectly suited for this occasion. By dressing more casually, the emphasis is on Adrienne. It was a true princess moment for her.
DeleteAdrienne is a lovely little girl!
ReplyDeleteMère et fille sont vraiment adorables, chacune dans sa tenue : j'ai hâte de les voir plus souvent !
ReplyDeleteObviously the best dressed are the lady and man in period costume in the museum! But I also delight to see Christopher O’Neill delighted because he doesn’t seem to smile much in more formal events/photos and I do want him to enjoy his Swedish life. What a happy event with lovely casual clothes and smiles.
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast between the informally dressed ( proud) parents and the little princess in her princess-dress, so she can shine: so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day for pr Adrienne and her parents! The horse and the little princess A just wonderful! Pr M so beautiful and love this colour on her! Dad looks happy to! It’s wonderful that pr M with family is back in Sweden!
ReplyDeleteI thougt every Swedish girl was called Inga!
ReplyDeleteInga? Never. Inge, maybe, but really a silly comment.
DeleteI also used to think that Inga was a Swedish name. This is because one of the girls in the book "The Six Bullerby Children" by the famous Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren is called Inga in the German translation. However, the original Swedish name is Anna. I don't know what the person who wrote the comment was referring to. However, if she's doing it because of memories of a book, then that's charming. I am Swiss. And no, not all Swiss Girls are called Heidi...
Delete17:20 that’s a very lovely comment! I’m also Swiss, and also not called Heidi! I read the original Bullerby and loved it so much thst I still think of it when I see little groups of houses in the countryside.
Delete@Anon 17:20: "Grüezi" an - thank you! I wish you a refreshing day - despite the heat here!
DeleteThis must have been a wonderful visit and a thrilling new experience for little Pss Adrienne.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute, sweet and a bit shy too, which is thoroughly understandable.
I know It's a pretty strange thing to say but I like Mr O'Neill the most !
Yes, I just like the way he was smiling in all pics and having fun too.
Pss Madeleine simply shined all the way , she is absolutely beautiful.
Pity this lovely linen lavender suit got creased.
Linen is such a fresh fabric but so tricky to wear.
Anyway, I'm wild about V.Beard creations, especially jackets.
Love the pairing with the white runners.
Madeleine's hair is beyond fabulous.
The pony is amazing as are the natural surroundings.
Well done.
* simply shone all the way
DeleteHow sweet! Have Adrienne’s older siblings also got to visit their duchies?
ReplyDeleteI like Madeleine’s casual look with this trouser suit, letting the little duchess shine. And as previously said, so great and rare to see Chris smile in photos! Hope he’s finding his new life in Sweden enjoyable.
Why not wait till she is 18 and mature.
ReplyDeleteAdriennes big day. Nice to see the family together.
