French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron are undertaking a two-day state visit to Monaco. On the evening of June 7, 2025, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco hosted a state dinner in the Throne Room of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco in honour of French President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron. The state dinner was also attended by Princess Caroline of Hanover. On June 8, Princess Charlène and Brigitte Macron will attend the 'Water Safety' event at the swimming pool of Stade Louis II.
Wow, Charlene has never looked better.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing special about the dress, it has a weird hemline, except for her hairstyle.
DeleteThis is a very good look for her: simple but beautiful dress combined with sparkling earrings and a fantastic updo. Mme Macron also looks marvellous: now this is an original cape! The plain white and the length look good on her; I also very much like her hair like this. The men also look good.
DeleteDamsel Dragonfly
the hemline is my favorite part of the dress, it adds detail to what otherwise would have been a simple dress
DeletePrincess Charlene looks absolutely stunning!I must confess I was hoping it would be a tiara affair! But her gorgeous chandelier earrings made up for it.
ReplyDeleteMrs Macron gown is equally charming.
Princess Caroline I believe is wearing Chanel. I don’t like her look at all. It looks like little effort has gone into her look.
The State Room looks breathtaking with the abundance of flowers. Princess Charlene’s team have done a stellar job in bringing the evening event together.
Lowri.
They dont wear tiaras anymore since Grace Kelly. Caroline may have worn one on foreign visits in the past, but Charlene does not like them, even on her wedding dinner she made it minimal as possible
-Astrid.
Both primary ladies look wonderful. Madame Macron could have ditched the cape, or had a cape in a lighter fabric, like chiffon or very light silk. Still, both of them shine like stars. Lovely to see Caroline there too.

What a stunning look for Charlene. The dress is a wonderful colour and fits her like a glove. Her hair with the asymmetric curls is very flattering and adds some interest to the overall look. So do the beautiful earrings.
ReplyDeleteI’m not fond of Mme Macron’s dress from the back because it looks as though the cape is missing. What’s the point of half a cape? As for P. Caroline, perhaps a full length picture would improve the look. From what we can see, the feathery collar and brocade(?) jacket look a bit messy and disjointed. Her hair and earrings look good though. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteCharlene: Pure class.
ReplyDeleteCaroline: Dressed like a clown. Nope.
Brigitte Macron: Quite a sophisticated look.
My opinion, you have yours.

What gorgeous photos. Great colors that complement one another for First Lady Brigette and Princess Charlene. They both look stunning. Wonderful pics of the 4 of them. Princess Caroline looks a bit too severe and maybe not the best outfit for flattering her. The gentlemen look very proper and neatly attired in their tuxes.
ReplyDeleteDifficult to go beyond the stunning red dress. Just fabulous. Mme Macron is chic as always. Princess Caroline’s jacket is nice too
ReplyDeleteThe red gown looks superb, simply stunning. Her makeup looks natural, but her hair styled in this way, soft and very becoming. Her diamond earrings are the perfect choice. Mrs. Macron looks the epitome of elegance and style, love her gown. Princess Caroline, looks beautiful. From what I can see of her ensemble she looks lovely. Saw a picture close up elsewhere and the diamond earrings are beautiful, lovely sized diamonds. The necklace is also diamonds, as is the bracelet. She has such a beautiful face.
ReplyDeleteLove how the fabric flows at the bottom of P. Charlene’s dress. Odd cape on Mdm Macron outfit. P.Caroline very nice jacket, though the collar is a bit odd.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love. Charlene's gown--so simple and so elegant! Her earrings are gorgeous. She also looks fabulous in red. Mme Macron's white gown is also beautiful--she looks elegant also. This style of gown has been extremely popular as it has marvelous draping with the cape that adds a whole extra level of sophistication. It's great that the ladies wore the national colors of Monaco. I would also like to see more of Caroline's attire--she can look spectacular in evening attire.

Caroline is wearing a black pearl brooch, but it is not visible on the unattractive jacket.
ReplyDeleteCharlène looks great, very elegant her red gown, classic, modern, clean - her style. I also like her combination at the welcoming ceremony, beautiful white pants and a very elegant, pale green Dior top - so simple and luxurious, beautifully cut.
ReplyDeleteGreat look of Charlène. Elegant, classic, simple and luxurious - her style. The red evening dress suits her very well and her combination of a beautifully cut pale green Dior top with elegant white pants - so chic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning gown red is her color. Madame Macron's white gown with this type of cape looks fantastic. Both gowns together are the colors of the Monaco flag. I also like Carolines jacket is nice a bit of a retro look I would say.

I’m not a fan of the current cape trend (because I’m practical and it often fills no purpose except frippery) but I think this design on Mme Macron is elegant and interesting. The photography angle on her hand in pic 4 is quite comical. Last photo, Caroline’s jacket is somewhat “court jester” but may be all evened out if we could see her lower half.
That double hemline of Charlene's gown is a very subtle feature, lets the upper part flow beautifully, without "docking" on the shoes, and the bottom part takes over the secondary function of providing a floor length. - As for capes, I really had enough from false drama.
ReplyDeleteBoth ladies look stunning in their monochrome dresses. Because of the magnificent simple lines of both dresses they could take part in a Star Wars movie ;) I love it.
ReplyDeleteLisa
I hope Mme Macron manages to keep her contenance this time.

ReplyDelete@Anon 09:36 - I wonder why Helen publishes a comment like this - a magnet for more people like this commenter. Hurtful ageism at its worst. Besides, absolutely off-topic.
Froufrou
A striking, bold Chanel red shade for P. Charlene's gown.
ReplyDeleteA snug, seemingly simple ensemble still supebly elegant and classy.
The overall effect is glamorous, so subtly and intentionally meant to create an aloof halo around the Princess.
Splendid earrings.
I especially like her hairstyle with the side wave and its retro flair.
The only thing I would change is her lipstick.
I would have opted for a more vibrant red shade but I understand that it would have drawn even more attention on her exceptionally exquisite presentation.
M.me Macron embodies pure elegance with the typical French take on a timeless classic ensemble.
While I am glad to see P. Caroline in attendance, I must honestly say that I feel she has let herself go.
I am not a fan of outfit either, sorry.
The gentlemen look perfectly groomed.
Caroline, what on earth...
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see Caroline with a convincing hairdo. I enjoy the way she is aging gracefully, very inspiring.

ReplyDeleteCharlene bellissima in rosso!
Grazie a chi vorrà rispondermi.
Beautiful looks from both ladies. (But I think Madame Macron's mantle would have looked better if it had been a light chiffon one.)
ReplyDeleteFashion-wise, Madame Macron and Princess Charlene are in my top 5 most stylish ladies - along with Princess Catherine, Queen Mary of Denmark and Mrs. Agatha Duda - the former First Lady of Poland since last week.

Everything is beautiful except :
ReplyDeletePrincess Charlene's hair. I don't like her hair like this. One big curl on one side of her head is a no for me, on the other side of her head her hair looks good. In the front it isn't.
Princess Caroline's jacket with the frills around the neckline is too much. From the little I can see of her outfit, I think she is wearing a black or navy gown underneath the jacket. She can always try to take the frills away from her jacket.
Brigitte Macron's cape which is not a cape in my opinion, but separate sleeves she can take away if she wants to. I think I understand why she choose this solution. Brigitte Macron's evening gowns are almost always with long sleeves. Maybe she wished something else this time so the idea of a cape which is not a cape is understandable. If she doesn't like it anymore she can always ask to make sleeves from the fabric used to make the cape and put them in her gown.
