Princess Ines of Sweden, Duchess of Västerbotten, was baptised by Bishop Johan Dalman

On Friday, June 13, 2025, Princess Ines of Sweden, Duchess of Västerbotten, was baptised by Bishop Johan Dalman, Chief Court Chaplain, and Michael Bjerkhagen, Pastor of the Royal Court Parish, at the Royal Chapel of Drottningholm Palace in Stockholm. The official photographs from Ines’s christening day, taken by photographer Elisabeth Toll at Drottningholm Palace, were released on June 14.

    As I said yesterday, Queen Silvia is my best dressed at Ines' Christening. But I would like to add how much I like the boys - in recognizably formal-festive outfit with white shirts and jackets, but no dark colours and no tie!

      There are some very nice photos of Prince Carl Philipp at the christening: Princess Sofia is holding the candle that was used for the christening, while Prince Carl Philipp is holding the child. The way the little girl reaches for his face and how lovingly he smiles back says it all. In the group photos, Prince Carl Philipp holds his youngest son's hand and helps him to stay calm and confident. This photo session is not only fun for the little ones.

    Everyone really looks nice. Nice summer dress for Sofia, but a little bit too much yellow for me. Victoria and Estelle are looking great so does Madeleine. But the star of the show was little Ines, what a beautiful little girl. She and Alexander look alike, when Alexander was being baptized. I wish them all the best.
