On June 17, 2025, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the municipality of Burela, located in the Galician province of Lugo — a quintessential fishing village with a strong maritime tradition and an economy rooted in fishing, dating back to the 16th century through whaling. Burela lies on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea.
In Burela, the King and Queen visited the Fishermen’s Guild to learn about the current state of the sector and the evolution of working and living conditions, supported by social initiatives, fishery regulations, and improvements in boats promoted by local organizations.
The King and Queen also visited the “Redeiras” work facility (Asociación de Redeiras de Malpica) to observe the role of women in the fishing industry — a sector that employs 5,000 women in Spain, 4,000 of whom are in Galicia. The Redeiras are among the many groups of women who have dedicated their lives to the art of mending fishing nets.
Very interesting and unusual top that pairs well with the simple black pants.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the sleeves and the creative placement of horizontal and vertical stripes.
Ce chemisier ample ceinturé dans le pantalon noir apporte un joli look ; les escarpins bas à double bride doivent être confortables pour les pieds sensibles de Letizia !
ReplyDeleteI like this blouse. Since balloon sleeves are in fashion now. This is one design that fits the fashion trend and does not overwhelm the garment or wearer.
ReplyDeleteBalloon sleeves only on the nether parts of the arms and neither too blown up nor stiff fabric (like on Ingrid Alexandra some days ago) - this is a moderate solution if it has to be balloon sleeves, looks very attractive.
ReplyDeleteHer shoes are so cute ❤️

Very nice and simple look from Queen Letizia. The blouse is pretty and has an interesting design. Letizia always does a great job with this type of business casual look and today is no exception.
