Excellent trouser suit shoes, I wish more women would wear shoes like this. There is a whole world of shoes between high heels and sneakers/tennis shoes.

Love and agree with your comment Anony. These shoes pare so well with this perfected fitted trouser suit and simple blouse that lays well under the jacket. (why not use a name or nickname so we know all of you better? :))

Anonymous 23:00 - I agree. These shoes look terrific with the suit. They are fairly high but far more solid than stilettos, and pair super well with the outfit. You’re so right about the huge range of shoes between high heels and sneakers! - Mary

  3. Nice trouser suit. The shoes are okay but the whole outfit looks very autumnal

Annie, you write “autumnal” as if it’s a negative? Spring is so up and down with weather, one can hardly be blamed for wearing quite different outfits from day to day to reflect the weather. I think rather that the suit works all year, and the shoes are a great match plus relatively practical and solid for walking about a little.

Because the weather was awful, the storms were so bad that they have many troubles to arrived there.

I fully agree. Feels like an outfit for November, not June. The same comfortable shoe in a summer hue (maybe white to harmonize with her blouse?) would have made it big difference.

Anon 14:23..summery hue in the mud and in a rural place with a terrible storm? Very ridiculous in Spain.. Summery in Spain means at least 25C...nobody wear summery things when the weather is awful and in a small rural place with pigs, cowd etc....

  4. This outfit looks so good. A lovely rich color for the pantsuit. I love the silk blouse, unusual neckline, which I prefer adding interest. Love, love ! the shoes, works in well with the outfit. This was a lovely heartwarming visit by the King and Queen.

Another red (wine red) pant suit by another brand than Hugo Boss. The white blouse is standard. The black loafers with block heels are fashionable. I can understand for walking in the streets of the villages, it is wiser to wear this shoe type and with her pant suit loafers are looking better than sneakers.

I meant she has more than one red or wine red pant suit.

Not really, in "wine" only this one, she repeits It over and over again.

Although I don‘t really like high heels with trousers, apart from the obvious health aspects, I find these alternative shoes very rough. Every time I look at queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, I admire how she combines comfortable shoes with trousers and looks terrific and stylish, which means that sartorial solutions are possible.

      @ Virginia
I can understand that Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands is not going to change the shoes she is used to and in which she feels comfortable, to wear fashionable shoes with high block heels because it is fashion. Queen Letizia on the other hand, who is much younger than Princess Beatrix will not wear shoes that are not fashionable just because she has feet problems. Among the new shoe collections this year there is enough choice in fashionable, comfortable and up to date shoe brands and type of shoes a young woman can wear too. If you have to walk in the streets of little villages in Spain, the best you can do is wear a pair of solid comfortable shoes in which your feet are well supported.
