Oh, I love the beautiful line of those pants! Perfection. And the jacket is just the right length. Mettle-Marit looks fabulous.

Two things: The camel coat is perfect in style and colour on Mette Marit. She looks wonderful! She looks happy and in no small part I'm sure to her being in her happy place involved with books and literature. Such an experience is balm for the mind and soul. The second thing is seeing one of my absolute favourite authors, Haruki Murakami with her. I'm an avid reader and have been reading all kinds of authors for nearly 50 years but I only recently discovered his canon of work and his huge following of readers. I don't know how I missed it. I am now on my 5th book in 3 months and am loving it just as much as the other 4. Seeing two of my fav people from such different backgrounds, on stage together in the last photo, is balm for my mind and soul.

Very interesting to read about your reading! Do you have a suggestion for the best Haruki Murakami book you've enjoyed? - Mary

@Anon 08:46 Hello Mary, as mentioned I've only read four so far and am on my fifth now (he has written dozens), but my first was "Norwegian Wood" and I enjoyed it very much. It was suggested as a good introduction to his work and it worked for me. I also liked "Kafka by The Shore" and I'm now reading "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle" which is a more complex but still satisfying read.

I have recently read an articles about CP Mette- Marit hinting at her resuming royal duties and focusing on something that is high on her " wishlist" , culture and literature/ books in particular.
The article emphasizes that this is no random choice.
The Princess seems to be on her way to a significant recovery and wants to give a reassuring message to her people.
She Is likely to convey something like: " I'm back for you all, look at me, I"m doing what I like the most, being surrounded by books.
This is the way I chose to be your Princess again, out and about.
Don't t worry and trust me".
The article hinted at her sartorial choices and how they are carefully selected to mark her comeback.
I don't know whether all this has solid grounds but I really hope that Mette- Marit , the Crown Princess of the Norwegian people, is really getting better.
That's what I wish for both Mette- Marit and Catherine's as well.

She will never get better. This illness will only get worse. The royal court has already said it's getting worse, but she has said she want to work as much as she can, but as the years go we will see more and more cancellations on her program since the form various from day to day.

Whatever, I would have never said that the Princess will never get better.
      Sounds ruthless.

Read up on the illness. She probably have to get a lung transplant in the end and hopefully she will be better then, but this is a cronic disease. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pulmonary-fibrosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20353690

I love this whole look from M-M! The jacket is gorgeous--I would love to have it my closet--and is marvelous on M-M. Her trousers are styled beautifully--that razor-sharp pleat is so elegant. She's looking so lovely, comfortable, happy, healthy here. I do hope she finding relief and better health with the course of medications she is now taking.

Nice to see her out and about and looking well. But I can’t help wishing that she would sometimes wear something a bit more interesting than muted browns, greys, black, navy and white… - Oona
