On June 1, 2025, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa celebrated their second wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion, the Jordanian Royal Family released new photographs, which were taken during Princess Aisha's wedding ceremony. On May 13, 2025, Princess Aisha married Karim El Mufti in a traditional ceremony held at Zahran Palace.
King Abdullah attended the wedding ceremony along with Crown Prince Al Hussein, Princess Rajwa, and Prince Hashem. Other members of the extended Jordanian royal family were also present, including Prince Ali bin Al Hussein and Princesses Zain and Aisha, the twin sisters of King Abdullah II. For the ceremony, Princess Rajwa wore a draped silk dress by Petar Petrov.

Handsome couple, but I do wonder why she chooses such drab colours. Nothing wrong with brown and maroons, but a brighter colour or embellishments would enhance her beauty. I know it’s her choice, entitled to wear what she likes,etc.etc. It is just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteBrown is trending right now. I can't say it is my favorite color, but she is in style.
DeleteThis colour is very trendy
DeleteSee that the problem, the colour is trending right now and it is not the best colour for some people. Skip the trend and wear what suits you.
DeleteI think with the drapey fabric, this is an excellent color choice. It seems to go well with her complexion. To me, it says old world charm. Gorgeous couple.
DeleteI can't help it, I simply find brown off-putting, and brown with brown, without any mitigating circumstances, well, I am sorry: in my eyes, it is plain ugly. Of course, not the woman, the gown. And the gown itself, another colour would not save it, because it is a rather shapeless heap of fabric. Which is quite surprising as Rajwa has, in most cases, an excellent taste. Well, not this time.

DeleteShe is wearing a belt - looks black with gold hardware(?) - so maybe if we could see that better, the dress would appear better/more flattering. Apparently even she felt the dress needed something as opposed to the way the model is wearing it. It does scream for some statement jewelry; a bold cuff, or earrings, or ... something. Again, I think she's trying to do that with the belt but we can't see that in these photos.
Deleteagree!
DeleteA very happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary to the Crown prince couple. She is a beautiful young woman. I am not a fan of this dress, but this is not for me to say.

Yes it is for you to say on this blog. It is not personal just an opinion
DeleteI really like Petar Petrov's silk dress: the fabric is beautiful, it looks simple at first but the design is actually very complex. The colour emphasises this and, in this shade of brown, is reminiscent of the colours found in Jordan's rocky landscape. Brown also represents nature, earth, connection and stability. I think it's all really beautiful and well thought out. It's quite possible that even though the couple is celebrating their wedding anniversary, they know that some people in the Middle East can't do that right now. It's a little understated, yet still very glamorous without being offensive.
ReplyDeleteUsd2190 for this drapery. Is it the case of “if it’s expensive it must be nice even though my first impression was that it’s more like curtains than a dress”?
ReplyDeleteThat said, she looks beautiful. But she will look elegant wrapped in a sheet or her oldest tshirt. So just commenting on the fashion, it’s not to my taste, certainly not for that extravagant price; I cannot see the workmanship in the design that deserves a high price tag.
DeleteThis is a non flattering color for anyone

ReplyDeleteLa robe est très jolie ,ce n'est pas marron , la teinte rouille va très bien au teint de la princesse , la photo est sous exposée donne l'impression que c'est sombre , un très beau tombé élégant .
ReplyDeleteTouché! Thank you.
DeleteEn toute honnêteté, j’ai beaucoup de mal à comprendre cette robe.
ReplyDeleteÀ mon avis, elle est tarabiscotée.

The name of this gown ("the ghost who walks") made me have a look at the website. Well, of course, brown in different shades, and besides that, a whole lot of further non-colours, worn by models who, with some notable exceptions, mostly look not only starved, but also kept in a lightless room for a longer period of time. Go have a look and have a laugh :-))
ReplyDeleteYes I had look too when I searched for the price. Brown on brown and nothing lovely that I could see yet at very high prices.
DeleteI've been googling pictures of Princess Rajwa and I noticed that since she got married, she is often wearing dark dresses. All shades of dark brown, lighter brown, dark wine red, dark red, black, navy. Once a picture in a beautiful yellow dress which is coming back all the time although it is always the same yellow dress one can see on the pictures. Once a very light pink dress, a couple of white dresses, her wedding dress, ..... that's about it. Before she was married her hair was styled lovelier (more curls now and then).
ReplyDeleteI agree she has changed since her marriage.
DeleteI think she looks very elegant and pretty - the dress and its colour suit her well.
ReplyDeleteI like the rich, warm color, and imo the belt, plus the way Rajwa has draped the fabric in the first photo, give the otherwise fairly shapeless garment just the right amount of definition. Well done! — Jane
ReplyDeleteThe silk Maxi dress is beautiful and with her stature she wears this dress beautifully .
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Ava.
DeleteThis dress is designed for statuesque women and Raiwa Is dazzling.
I think P. Raiwa wore this outfit- which Is actually reddish brown and 100% silk plus an imported item, hence the high price- as a tribute to her adopted country.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of Petra wonderful views.
Of course, she has changed since she got married.
She will be the future Queen of Jordan and is channeling some of the country's core customs and traditions while keeping in touch with contemporary trends.
It is like a reboot.
Well done to her.
And...congratulations on the CP couple 2nd weddings anniversary!
