On May 4, 2025, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark attended a service at the Church of Our Lady (Vor Frue Kirke) in Copenhagen, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Denmark’s liberation. They were joined by Queen Margrethe, Princess Benedikte, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, who represented the British royal family. The Duchess of Gloucester is a Danish-born member of the British royal family.
The commemoration brought together representatives from the government, the Danish Parliament, ministries, the armed forces, and foreign embassies. The service was led by the Bishop of Copenhagen, Peter Skov-Jakobsen, and included reflections, prayers, and music in honor of the liberation and those who gave their lives for freedom.
Later, King Frederik and Queen Mary, together with Queen Margrethe, Princess Benedikte, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, attended a memorial ceremony at Ryvangen Memorial Park in Hellerup, north of Copenhagen. On May 4, 1945, Denmark was liberated after five years of German occupation.
The ladies look good, each and every one of them. I did not know that the Duchess of G. was born in Denmark, I am always happy to see her here because she is a pleasure for my eyes - always tastefully elegant. Though wearing a coat, the collar frames her fabulous pearls beautifully and allows them to shine. That light blue pant suit looks as if it was created for Mette Frederiksen, she looks perfect in it.
ReplyDeleteLa reine Mary est élégante dans cette robe dont la coupe est belle.
ReplyDeleteJ’ai de l’affection pour les couleurs de la tenue de la princesse Benedikte.

Mary est magnifique

Denmarks Mary is a perfect queen!
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary looks nice. I just don't quite like the shoes, they don't seem to look good on her feet. Maybe a slightly lower heeled navy suede. HOWEVER, I think the Duchess of Gloucester is giving Mary some serious competition in the fashion arena. The ivory outfit complimented by suede boots also in a warm color looks magnificent. The other ladies look lovely as well.
Paloma.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that today PB although a very nice fitting dress and coat I am not liking her outfit that much. Always a pleasure to see the family
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess of G. looks really very good here, I love this outfit and the choice of jewels she chose, very elegant. Queen Mary looks splendid in this color, beautiful. I love her ensemble. The brooch is gorgeous and a welcome addition. Her Navy clutch looks great, but not a fan of her shoes nor the color. Pss Bene looks divine, love her ensemble. Again she looks beautifully groomed.
