On May 28, 2025, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia visited Guadalupe in the province of Cáceres as part of the activities marking the 10th anniversary of the King’s Proclamation. Following a visit to the Town Hall, Their Majesties toured the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe. They also walked through the historic town of Guadalupe, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
Queen Letizia wore a floral shirt-dress by Yolanda Guillén—whose store in the municipality of Paiporta, Valencia, was completely destroyed during the DANA floods—as a show of support for fashion businesses affected by the disaster. She completed the look with white espadrilles and Tous earrings.

ReplyDeleteHRH Queen Letizia... so lovely with children and the baby in her arms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteYes, beautiful.
DeleteLove love this dress, pretty print, good length. The king as always wears suits that an impeccably tailored. For me he sets the standard.
ReplyDeleteI agree on the tailoring plus perfectly groomed...both of them.
DeleteI love Letizia’s clothing choices (esp wearing high street Spanish brands), and this dress - bought to support a suffering business - is just so lovely and relaxed for a walk about. Heartwarming photos but especially the baby holding. Imagine being able to say I was held by the queen when I was young! - Mary
ReplyDeleteA flowery, flowing look, feminine and natural, lovely.

This is a lovely fresh spring dress, and this time the espadrilles are perfect with it. Great look
ReplyDeleteWhat is the stick the King has?
ReplyDeletebaton of office or staff of command is a ceremonial object that represents the authority of a mayor or other public officials. It is a symbol that indicates the presence and command of the individual who carries it at solemn public events.
DeleteI am not a huge fan of this dress, but Queen Letizia wears it well on her slim frame. And I love those shoes for her. These are quite cute and flattering on her foot. A Queen for the people - love her interaction with the crowd. And the King is a "10"!
ReplyDeleteQ. Letizia's shirt dress is delightful and the King is groomed to perfection as always.
ReplyDeleteAn impressive joint engagement.
Well done to them.
Sorry. I don't like the print of this dress. Too many colours that are hard on the eye. The floral print is messy. It's also too long and doesn't fit Letizia well.
ReplyDeleteAs a small person she looks better in fitted garments.
Small? I see the rest of the people as "small' as her...I wonder where you ser her smaller than others... Actually she is 1,70 tall...how tall are you? Her husband is 1,97 however, a giant..

DeleteI don't know what my height has to do with Letizia. I see her as a small person. "Small" can mean many things. It can mean thin or short or small boned or delicate. It is NOT a criticism. It seems whenever someone on this blog even hints at Letizia being "short" someone has to jump on them. Maybe she is tall but I perceive her as "small".
Sandra...I can perceive the mumber one as small'..or basketball player..where is the point.. please...of you do not have a point, please ..stay...😋, and eve some people replay..nonsense pm

DeleteI agree with you. When she stands next to Queen Maxima or Queen Mathilde one can see she is much shorter. It is not a shame to be small or short and indeed like you said "small" can mean many things. 1.70 m. looks big (also a word with more than one meaning) in the eye's and ears of the Spanish commenters. If one is not enough familiar with the English language one does not have a big vocabulary. I think that is also one of the reasons they jump on those who are saying that Letizia is short.
Me too I think that her dress is too wide for her petite frame and certainly too long.
Máxima and Mathilde are 1,80 and 1,82 tall...very tall for a woman, they even are as tall as her husbands.
DeleteVictoria of Sweden is smaller than Letizia 1,68..and the rest royals of Europe...and you do not say that they are small.
I think the difference between the way King Felipe is dressed and the way Queen Letizia is dressed is too big. The shirt dress Queen Letizia wears here is too long. It is an excellent dress to wear during her holidays but not to visit a town, village or region together with the King. I can understand she chooses espadrilles on her feet because they are easy to walk with and look better than sneakers.
ReplyDeleteI remember when the kings and queens arrived in Paris in a limo to participate at the banquet just before the opening of the Olympic games, when King Felipe stepped out of the car it was very impressive. He kept his back straight and I didn't understood with his height he didn't have to bow to get out of the car. Even if one didn't know who he was, one could see immediately it was somebody regal, a person with a high rang.
Because of that Letizia is loved in Spain and the Borbons not so much.. Actually they have almost destroyed Spain...we have had two Repúblicas...and we Will have..
DeleteThat is right..on Spain we need a Queen as Letizia...Dresses? Paid by the people? You always can pay for them...not in Spain...
DeleteShe wears "alpargatas" ,espadrilles because they typical from Spain an the dress also..The Queen of Spain wearing Spanish fashion, she needs to be loved in Spain, your opinión won't do that they endure there.

DeleteI do not understand this. You don't like the king but you pay for his suits. You like the queen but you are happy that she is dressed cheaper than he is. What a ridiculous thing to hear. If a country has a president he receives a budget too to pay for his needs and the needs of his wife and children. Now that you have a king, a tall man, I suppose you understand that he has to made his suits taylored by a professional) and that he cannot appear in jeans and T-shirts when the ministers and staff members of the government are wearing classic clothes. He does wear jeans and T-shirts or polo's during his holidays and he does wear adapted clothes when he has to go in the mountains. What more can he do ? A royal family has also other needs : bringing up children for example. Everybody knows that having children cost money. They need clothes too, they have to go to school, they have to go to a university later on when they are almost adults. The king and his family need a house or a big appartement to live in. That cost money too.
To come back to Queen Letizia's dresses : she has beautiful dresses that are not cheap and she has less beautiful dresses that are a bit cheaper. What I am trying to explain that when a king is dressed in a classic suit (which he has since a long time) his wife the queen should be dressed in a classic dress, or pant suit, or skirt and jacket (which she has in a big quantity). The shirt dress she is wearing here is not appropriate to do this visit next to her husband.
The King and Queen of Spain only have a salary of about 350.000 euros per year for everything ..they have only that " budget", so they must do their best with It...they must work..and they are there because they are not expensive... actually
Deletei think the dress is very appropiate to be sat on the floor with people, carrying children, etc...you always can have a muppet doing the monkey with gloves and hats...all for you...
DeleteWhat a happy occasion for the local people. The Queen looks so relaxed and happy.
