On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands attended the opening of the ADORE Research and Diagnostics Centre in Amsterdam. This centre is an initiative of Amsterdam UMC and focuses on bringing together cancer and neuroscience researchers to advance studies, insights, and treatments related to cancer and brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis (MS).
Queen Máxima attended the plenary session, during which the mission, approach, and underlying vision of ADORE were explained. Afterwards, during a tour of the ADORE Research and Diagnostics Centre, she received explanations from researchers in the laboratories about DNA modification (CRISPR technology) and the study of tumor cell behavior. For the event, Queen Máxima wore a new outfit by the Belgian brand Natan.

DeleteIndeed a great look in a wonderful colour combination. Indeed a pity the bra. Hat though beautiful is better for an official opening but too big for participating in a meeting and visiting research center.

DeleteThe outfit is colourful enough but I still don’t understand why these greeny yellow mustardy colours have risen to prominence. I don’t think they suit anyone, even Queen Maxima.
ReplyDeleteThis is because you belong to the category of commenters who don't like this color, that's all. To me it is just the opposite this color is one that suits every lady : blond, brown, auburn, red hair everybody. It is like turquoise also a color that almost everyone can wear.
DeleteI love the fabric colors and the cut of the skirt and blouse. I think the hat complements the look too. But she needs new undergarments. The girls are not looking well-supported. I think she has lost some weight recently which would necessitate new support garments. It can change the whole look of her outfit.

Oh my, can’t believe my eyes! Not the only current queen with a support problem btw (yes, you Camilla) But who else but Maxima can wear that color and that hat and still look good doing it?

ReplyDeleteThis is a bit of a yikes if you look at the details. The colours are great together and strong enough to stand up to Q. Maxima 's personality and the style idea is lovely. Regrettably the implementation just doesn't hold up. The skirt was not cut in a way to be the same length all round. It is short at the sides and one side at the back seems to be slightly shorter. With a wide skirt like this, the pattern needs to be adjusted. It cant just be cut the same length all round like a straight skirt. Amateur pattern maker problem. The fabric of the top really leaves too little to the imagination.i really don't need or want to know the precise cut of Q. Maxima s bra or how poorly fitted it is.

Curry oder ockergold es scheint das diese Farbnuancen eine neue Ära in der Mode erhalten. Es sieht ja auch so weit alles gut gekleidet aus, aber man soll entscheiden, will ich die Königin oder ein Model sein. Eine gut sitzende Unterwäsche ist hier nicht. -Dorothe-

This seems like an odd outfit to choose for the event - the fabric seems a bit too dressy and the very large hat seems better-suited to outdoor wear. As others have noted, unfortunate and overly-revealing undergarment situation as well.
