On May 13, 2025, Queen Letizia presided over the main commemorative event for the 2025 World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, which is observed across the 191 countries where the humanitarian organization operates. This year, the city of Murcia hosted the central ceremony. At the event, the Queen presented the 2025 Gold Medals of the Spanish Red Cross.
The event recognized outstanding contributions through the presentation of the Spanish Red Cross Gold Medals to César Bona, Emilia Lozano, Almudena Ariza, Nasco Feeding Minds, and the Red Cross of Burkina Faso. After the ceremony, the Queen greeted residents of Murcia outside the Teatro Romea.

Could her husband ever have imagined how good she would be for the Spanish crown when he first met her? ReplyDeleteThat things about "stand out from the crowd" is not a Spanish thing, Felipe II and the Catholic Queens always wore black ropes. It must be from the English speaking countries. Colours have been seen as tacky.
DeleteVery sweet photos. I love the sailor pants and loafers Queen Letizia is wearing. While I like the simplicity of Hugo Boss blouses, this one seems a little big or isn't tucked in as well as it could be perhaps.

ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. The pants look really good. I like the addition of the buttons, elevating these pants, a very classy look. The HB silk blouse is beautiful, I love these types of blouses, very feminine. The neckline, has a interesting feature the tie neck. The Queen often wears silk blouses with interesting necklines such as this. Beautiful. Her black shoes look good.
