On May 10, 2025, Princess Kako of Japan attended the 34th Forest and Flower Festival, Midori no Kanshasai, held at Iino Hall in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. Prior to the ceremony, she spoke with the winners of a poster competition on wildfire prevention, which had been open to junior high and high school students across the country.
Midori no Kanshasai is a month-long environmental campaign held annually from April 15 to May 14 to raise public awareness and understanding of Midori — a word meaning “green” in Japanese, often used to describe nature. Japanese Princess Kako serves as the Patron of the Forest and Flower Festival, Midori no Kanshasai.
ReplyDeleteAh, just a little pop of colour would have been incredible on this whole ensemble.

Thank you again for this added information. It helps us to know P.Kako a little better on the personal side. And now I also know something about 'yosegi zeiku' which I had never heard of before.

I agree a little bit of colour would have wonderful. She is the sweetest face.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that she’s added some different touches to her look (wooden hair clip, larger earrings) instead of the usual pearls. They tie in well with her bag and shoes. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteKako looks wonderful here! Yes, her outfit is blerge but it's still quite pretty. I love how Kako always seems to find a way to add something to her outfits that elevates them into more modern fashion. This time she used accessories. Her earrings are not the standard pearls, her hair clip adds a more modern twist, and her clutch bag and shoes are not the standard black or white. Delightful Kako is a gem!!!

She has a hair clip and earrings made of wood. These are in perfect harmony with the colour of her outfit, a very restricted but noble way of adornment, pearls would not really fit into this concept. She can wear these muted colours well, I personally do not miss anything.
ReplyDeleteNice outfit but a bit blend. Any bolder color would have been a wow. The Pss is a lovely young and poised women.
