Princess Caroline of Hanover, also known as Princess of Monaco, is currently in Cuba for an official visit. Her visit is part of the tour by the Principality of Monaco’s dance company, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, to Havana. On the evening of May 16, the company premiered the piece Core Meu (My Heart) at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana. Princess Caroline is accompanied by her daughter, Princess Alexandra, and Ben Sylvester Strautmann.
On the afternoon of Saturday, May 17, Princess Caroline was received at the Palace of Conventions in Havana by the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel. Princess Alexandra of Hanover and her partner, Ben Sylvester Strautmann, also attended the reception. The event was also attended by Alpidio Alonso, the regime’s Minister of Culture, and Viengsay Valdés, principal dancer and general director of the National Ballet of Cuba.
Later on May 17, Princess Caroline of Monaco visited the Guayasamín House in Old Havana. The Princess donated a portrait of herself—painted by Oswaldo Guayasamín in 1977—to the Casa Guayasamín museum in Havana. The donation ceremony was attended by Alfredo Che Vera Guayasamín, president of the Guayasamín Foundation.
She never disappoints!
ReplyDeletewhat happened to her blouse in the last photo? is it sweat? very low standard too Princess of Monaco meeting foreign dignitaries.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know what it is - a weird light/angle of photo, got caught in the rain, sweat - but if it had been me, I’d be mortified - and hate for anyone to point it out and say I was only meeting a low standard! She’s just a human afterall!
DeletePrincess Caroline has such fine features but her stringy, unkempt hair is beyond me, and I do not mean her decision to go natural.

Looks fine to me. She normally has it nicely neatly styled with too much fuss. Being in the tropics changes most of our hair temporarily.
DeleteI’m very disappointed!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Like the blouse. Also nice to see Alexandra and Ben with her.
